Stoke fans angry at Aaron Ramsey last week for having the audacity to have his leg broken by one of their own about 17 years ago. Now Milwall fans hoping a player dies. Magic of the cup.
Ah well. Think we did the best we could with ten men, even though it was ultimately self-inflicted. Proud of that second half performance, but the difference in class proved telling in the end. 3-1 about right in the end. Felt harsh given the balance of play in the second half, but I don’t think you can discount how incredibly one sided that first half was. And the Croydon lot doing their own “frothing at the mouth” on here provides its own light amusement.
Yes, let’s talk down your fans wishing death on a player and calling another one a Chelsea rent boy because ‘amusement’.
Also, I can't believe Charlton scoring a corner is going to stop us winning the FA Cup without conceding a goal again.
We have a new record of 9 minutes spent checking a goal for VAR, to disallow it of course. And they chickened out and only gave 7 minutes added time, despite there being a second goal VAR checked and ruled out shortly after. Obviously it was the only non televised game so they had no TV time pressure. Its just depressing. 9 minutes waiting around to find out a decision for a goal whilst both teams have to get their coaching staff out to help keep them warm doing drills. It's embarrassing and depressing.
It's because the automated offside system that's supposed to be in place isn't working. They didn't know what to do. Good job VAR was checking for a handball at the same time too, otherwise they might have assumed the Auto offsides were working and it wasn't off.
Maybe they just don't need to be as observant because they have var to fall back on. Anyway, I'm not sure why people are putting all the blame on him. Maybe he was blocked and couldn't see it, or maybe one of his officials should have told him to stop the play if they saw it. Of course its his job to get in a position to see where the play is, especially an important area like that, but maybe a player just ran across his view at the time. Anyway crazy challenge and if things were right should get more than a two match for it
Travesty that we haven’t won this in normal time. Wolves got the extra time they have been playing for since the first minute. Fair play to Cunha, incredible goal, but it’s bewildering that we haven’t put this to bed.
