A fully deserved result based on what I saw (last half hour or so). Certainly a far more deserved draw than the one we managed to grab at Slough this afternoon. I suspect the home side will view that as one that got away from them.
FA Cup games on TV. 1 - Eastleigh v Reading (Sunday 13:30) ITV1 2 - Alfreton v Walsall (Saturday 12:30) BBC2 3 - Chester or York City v Wigan Athletic (Friday 19:45) BBC2 4 - AFC Wimbledon v Ramsgate (Monday 19:45) ITV4 5 - Wrexham v Yeovil (Sunday 15:45) ITVX Not sure about the last 2 but first 3 understandable.
Fair play to Crewe but I do like a cup upset so it's a shame the minnows they played tonight couldn't beat them
The old McCann derby then @NotsoPosh You will probably batter us but I’ll be there. McCann seems to fire the team up for cup games but he’s still trying to find his best team which concerns me
I WON'T be there but I hope you win , if you do then our premier derby game v Cobbler Cnuts goes ahead ( weather permitting ) on same day as round 3 of the cup , far more important as is I won't be able to make a midweek match v them . Fergie's free flowing Posh v McCann's Anti - Football style ( unless he's changed ) Donny Rovers , you should bring more than the usual 6-850 , £15 a ticket & 50 mins on the train , 1.5-2k red & whites I reckon ?
To be fair he’s never been anti football at either spell with us. He’s actually had to move away from his usual rigid 4-3-3 this season due to all our injuries which has been a refreshing change! I do worry slightly that when we have more players available we still don’t really have a clue what our best 11 is, that’s going to be his biggest challenge this year Yeah I’d expect a fair few to make the trip down. We’ve done really well in the cups under McCann so with it being a quick journey down the A1/ train we’ll probably take a good amount
Referee's got that totally wrong. Free kick and red card should have been the correct decision but instead we get penalty and yellow card . But for the sake of the tie, I'm glad they got that decision wrong. 1-1.
Happier now? Maybe avoiding the red card now becomes the desirable outcome. With a lead again and 11 v 11 you really should see this out now. Although that's been said twice before.
He set us up not to lose rather than the play to win , nearly as bad as Bonners Scumbridge team . Was obsessed with 4-3-3 & then very occasionally 3-5-2 hence the nickname ' Plan A McCann ' . Was awful at utilising subs , used them when he didn't need to & was always reactive rather than proactive ( Fergie's the same , mostly ) . He can talk the talk but for me he's going backwards as a manager & I think he'll end up in the Northern Irish Premier League in the next 5-7 years . Was a legend in a Posh shirt for 3 of the 4 seasons with us , a liability in his last season & all Posh fans so wanted to see him succeed as a manager but alas , in both tenures him & his pitbull were awful . Tickets & prices already out for Posh fans . Over 24 yr olds £13 STH £15 Before the day £20 on the day . Shame the trains are on strike that day , that'll mean less home & away support .
