How has Brodie been getting on? I didn't rate him much on the pitch, but off the pitch he seemed like a really good character and the fans loved him. I felt we had much better fire power up front and he never really managed to get into the game.

Is it the same there? Becuase I'm sure if you want him Evans won't put up too much of a fight for you to sign him.

He should have never left York, instead he has decided to go down the mercenary route playing for souless clubs. He will now spend the rest of his career fliting between Conference teams as a journyman and never hit the form or popularity he did a York, such a waste.

Boring, keep up the bashing KIDDERMINSTER fan.

Anyway, basically he's done little but dive every time a player goes near him and whinge rather a lot... to be fair the service has been diabolical so far though.
Mellon needs to sort his tactics out (or get some).

I have no idea why you got him in, fire power shouldnt be a problem, what about the chap you got from Torquay? If he isnt better than Brodie (who has never even seen the indside of a Football League dressing room) then ill get my ****ing boots on and score you some goals myself!

So the consensus is that he's sh*t there too!! :laugh

You can have him if you want, what a waste of £200,000 (undisclosed, rumoured fee). But TBF to Evans he did buy some outstanding players, just not this one.

But he certainly did something right at York however......

TBF Hamish McCheat must of been given stupid amounts of money and had to pay stupid amounts of wages or nobody would come and play for him, thats what he has to do. I dare say the Cheltenham post match talk was a real eye opener for a few players.

I agree with you, although Micky Mellon insists on signing more attacking players every time we lose a game.
Here's one for you Mr. Mellon... how about you actually play players in the position that they should be playing in?

The souless club that is Fleetwood? I agree, we should all inspire to be Kiddersminster!

Stop being bitter and admit you are inferior.

He’s strong, hard working, and a good goal scorer, but quite limited technically and sometimes unprofessional.

I think Brodie at City may just have been a case of right player at the right club at the right time. He fitted in well with the system Foyle played during the season he scored 35+ goals and has always had a great rapport with the fans during his time here and seemed to genuinely take the club to heart after we gave him his chance in professional football. It was a bit disappointing then that he got so much abuse when we played Fleetwood earlier in the season, although he played shit that night so it did seem to put him off his game.

I definitely think it was right to move him on when we did, despite how well he did here. I remember saying at the time that it would prove to be a much better deal for York City than it would for either Richard Brodie or Crawley Town and certainly nothing that’s happened so far has made me want to change that opinion.

He didn't even feature on Saturday, and Fleetwood are starting to click... bit worrying for him really.

It was 5-2 wasnt it? A fair pasting although a strange game. Dont take this the wrong way, although i already know you will but the atmosphere was terrible, even considering the goal fest and the two serious punch ups. Will be interesting to see now what the repercusions are following the handbags. I dont think we have heard the last of it yet.

Brodie's improved a lot these last few games, set up a few and scored the other night against Kiddy. Hope we sign him full time as he seems to be loving it here at the moment.

It was a very strange game, and Kidderminster were the better side up until the sending off (strange as both sides went down to 10 men).
I have to agree about the atmosphere too, it's been pretty terrible since they gained promotion to the Conference Premier. Shame as we used to have a cracking atmosphere at the club, it's most probably down to the extra bandwagon jumpers that can now turn up, pay to get in and watch their beloved Manchester United or Liverpool on screen in the club house. :)

It was the same at Wimbledon. I went to a few games in thier Ryman league days and it was bouncing but then when they got to our level and beyond its seemed to have died down. Im not saying Kidderminster is or has ever been a hotbed of football fanaticism, (its shit most home games unless we are winning) but come the end of the season when there are real things to play for the atmospheres are better at every club involved.

Another problem is that every ground in this league apart from Luton is far too big for the team that plays in it.

Again I agree, but that's the FA's fault due to their insistence that any team aiming to play in the Football League must have a ground capacity over 5,000.
