In the most predictable result of the day, Charlton fail to beat Millwall after being the better side for 75 minutes and then deciding a stupid red card to gift them a way back in was the right idea.

I'd have to see it again but by that slow mo replay I'm not even sure the ball fully crossed the line either.

Doubt Boro will be bothered though. Like us last season they just seem to find a way to, at the very least, not lose.

We were not good today, but got that potential banana skin over the line. Charlton, despite all their limitations, played that perfectly and probably would have won if not for the red card— that gameplan was perfect. They’re not quite a proper championship side but will be fine under that Welsh twat.

re. Wall side of things: think we have a lot to work out in terms of injuries and new signings

Good management in keeping Fisher in, I think. Expected Manning to take the 'safe' option and start Stacey.
14 goals from them in their last 3 games so should be an attacking game.

I'll take that given the circumstances, I do think the red was a bit harsh but can't complain too much. Marti's changes at HT were key to the result so that's good to see

The one day the goal line tech isn’t working is the day it’s needed, class.

Draw definitely the right result but very frustrating to lose two points to faulty technology.

we're still managing his minutes, a like for like change would have been Monga but I guess we wanted the experience given the circumstances

Within 5 mins he's slipped leading do a dangerous chance, switched off leading to them hitting the post and given the ball away dangerously. lol

Don’t think you were the better side, but think you got the goal at a great time and then limited us to not very much. Felt very much like us under Rowett. I still don’t know what we are yet: could worse or a lot better than Charlton. Let’s see what happens when players return and bed in.

We were largely in control of it imo. 1-0 up and very comfortable then one brain dead moment gives you a lifeline, even before the goal thought we had more control.

Based on today, I’ve no idea why so many had Millwall as dark horses, just very similar to us in that they’re quite solid but not a lot going on up top, that’s the first time I’ve really seen Ivanovic and what a load of overhyped tripe he is, worst striker on a pitch that had Coburn and Kelman on it, should have cashed in and I wouldn’t be confident in any game that Benda plays in.

Frustrating not to win, but the usually reliable Ramsey has killed us big time today and now will be a massive miss next week, we do love shooting ourselves in the foot.

Oh, and what I imagine will be a familiar theme from me this season, we need to be so much better in and around the box because we will get punished.

A lot of players underperforming, not helped by injuries, but still no real excuse. Ivanovic has been poor since the Boro game. Think we’ll kick on at some point though and be in that top six pack. Charlton very solid and even though I think you lacked adventure in that second half don’t think you’ll be near the bottom 3.

Hope you’re right, but it’s that lack of adventure and potency in the box that concerns me the most. Still, we’re holding our own and if/when that part clicks, we’ll be fine.

Need to see a replay of the Boro 2nd goal, if it in fact wasnt over the line, then someone at the club has ****ed up by not checking the goal line technology was working before the game, would have taken a draw before the game but frustrating to only come away with a point.
What was with the reaction of the Boro fans when Whittaker went off? guessing hes not popular in the Boro fanbase?

We're doing well. 12 shots, none on target and given away a soft goal.

Just f*cking hit it, we're not Barcelona. We're playing lovely football, ref is awful, Norwich players wasting time.

    16 shots, none in target.

Whoever let a box of Millwall fans into the East Stand needs a talking to at least.

Played really well first half, been the better side and we deserve to be in front.
Knowing and loving Stoke how I do though, we are bound to implode, do something stupid 2nd half and screw it up!!!!
