Not for me, I feared it would just be a gimmick and that's how it turned out. Hadjar & Lawson certainly got it right so good for them, Norris controlled the lead flawlessly and took a deserved win for his stonking qualifying effort which was a new track record, but otherwise it was just the same old Monaco GP again and it was awful.
It’s quite a testament to these regs that they’re setting lap records. Can’t wait for next season where they’re all apparently several seconds slower
I didn't know Russell lived in Monaco as well? how many drivers live there avoiding taxes? It's why F1 won't dump it. Fkall to do with "tradition" I n other news, what a whiny entitled arsewipe Russell is?
I think even Ollie Bearmann does ! Probably didn’t help people expected some sort of great burst of excitement and chaos but teams aren’t daft and they all had plans in place I am sure to work on with the changes in mind .
When I heard Norris lives there, it made me go off him a bit. It's pretty universal that they are all tax dodging w*nkers but it's something I would prefer I didn't know.
Probably earns enough to make his very rich dad look like a peasant . Presumably Charles lives there and probably has owns an estate ! There has been talk of re designing the layout but guess the residents would say no including the drivers themselves.
Only hope Yuki had some sort of damage to be last in qualifying for his sake! Sainz with a bad one too - Williams do struggle in Spain Be a good battle for 3rd etc . Will the McLarens be allowed to race ?
Tsunoda said in practice he didn’t understand why he was so slow. Verstappen with a bit of a cryptic response after qualifying too. I’d be shitting myself if I were Hadjar he’s next in line to lose his credibility
Tsunoda had floor damage, didn't he? They showed a clip of him driving over the kerbs with a loud crunch. Looks like McLarens to lose, Piastri clearly the top dog at the moment.
Yes he did say that and obviously was affected but then wasn’t really given as an excuse afterwards. The new flexi wing stuff will probably make no difference to McLaren. Lance Stroll is out of tomorrow’s race due to an injury .
Looks like they tried a different set up for him and it failed. ピエール・ワシェ、角田裕毅のセットアップは「ミスだった」と認める - Shiga Sports (Browser translated from Japanese to English) Pierre Wache admits Yuuki Tsunoda's set-up was 'mistake' Pierre Wacheh, of technical at admitted that he made a strategic calculation mistake in the setup of Yuki Tsunoda during the Spanish Grand Prix qualifying session on Saturday. The experimental approach did not produce results, and Tsunoda was able to settle for the 20th lowest. "To be honest, I tried something very different from before," Washe said in a media round after qualifying. I tried a bigger rear winger to see if I could perform in qualifying. This is a mistake on our part.” This set-up gamble prevented Tsunoda from achieving a competitive pace, and Mr. Washe made it clear that the responsibility lies entirely on the team. In addition to his Q3 back in qualifying, Wachet revealed that Tsunoda was heavily affected by the serious damage he suffered in the Imola Grand Prix crash. Mr Washer added that new parts are in preparation and that the team is aiming to introduce it at the Canadian Grand Prix. "We are planning to install new items on the underfloor of Tsunoda," Wachet explained. The damage he suffered from the crash at Imola made it difficult to produce results and he struggled. I hope to be ready for Kakuta in Montreal.” Despite struggling on one side of the garage, Mr. Wachet acknowledged the broader challenges Red Bull faces with McLaren's comeback, which has shown a strong one-lap pace throughout the weekend. "McLaren has had a pretty good result in qualifying," he said. I don't know if I don't run in the race, but it will be a very close race. The McLaren car looks like it's finished. The tyre degradation will hold a big key.” Looking ahead to Sunday, Mr. Washe and the Red Bull team are confident that Max Verstappen will still be able to compete for the win. For Tsunoda, the focus will shift to damage control and data collection during the race. This will be an opportunity to perform a test lap to better understand the core limitations affecting his RB21 performance.
Totally lost his shit. He really can't take not being the main man, can he? Dominance from McLaren, what a result for Hulkenberg in 6th though! Actually, make that 5th, thanks to Verstappen's 10 second penalty.
Max is such a petulant child. Always finds a way for me to dislike him more. Fair enough being asked to let Russell through may not have been correct. But to react by then ramming into him? Idiot. Cost yourself 9 points by losing your head.
Assuming the McLarens continue to dominate just how big of a baby will Maxsterisk become. His claims that he'd been 'rammed' by Leclerc were pathetic and then he deliberately drove into Russell, he should have been black flagged.
