Exactly that. Create little and allow teams to literally walk through our midfield and take shots at our keeper. It's utter madness how we've allowed ourselves to assemble such a lightweight team.

Still think you'll be OK though, there's worse teams than yourselves who would also need to pull a big rabbit out the hat to turn things around. The current bottom four are looking quite bad especially Plymouth under Rooney who have a GD of minus 20 or something!

Rooney will probably get sacked soon though.

The thing is that we're actually majorly overachieving with the points we have so far Vs the performances. We've got a lot of points that we shouldn't have got in games we've deserved to lose and all the xG stats and what not bear that out. Now the results are starting to align with the performances and we're losing and drawing games with no wins. We've got a very tough run of fixtures this month (today included) and that's now 2 defeats in a row. We could very easily be finishing the month on a run of 5 or 6 defeats, or 5 defeats out of 6 or something like that. Confidence will drop, the fans will turn and it could get very ugly very quickly. L

Things like that knock a few percentage points off the players' performances and those fantastic saves that Johansson has been making to earn us points might suddenly reduce in number and games we've been drawing or scabbing a win will turn into regular 3 and 4-1 defeats which is what we're deserving most weeks on xG. I'm really worried. We've already played the sack the manager card, it's going to be difficult to do that again. And if we do, director of football John Walters will have to go with him because Pelach was 100% his call, balls on the chopping block and his position would be untenable if he has to be sacked before the end of the season. We'd then be totally rudderless and desperate.

It's going to be a very interesting month ahead. With the January window coming up, if we were to take the nuclear option of ending the Walters project and sacking them both before the end of the season you'd feel we'd have to do it this month to give the new manager a chance to make some changes in January. If both survive till January we're probably going to have to stick with them till the end, wherever that leads us. It's pointless bringing another manager in to work with this rudderless shambles of a squad if they haven't got the option to bring players in. I'm not sure anyone could do anything much with this squad of players because there are just so many deficiencies in every department of the team apart from goalkeeper. There's literally nothing to work with, no foundation that anyone could build from.

We're in a really weird mood today. Could be worth a bet on Sainz getting sent off.

Blimey, we're a strange old team. Started okay but as soon as one or two passes went astray the whole team's collective head seems to have gone. 2 scruffily defended set pieces.

Think this might be the end of Fisher at left back and we absolutely need a more direct option on the wing. Could see Chrisene and Hernandez coming on after the break.

That red card for Sainz still feels on, it'll be for pushing the ref or something.

    No.

He's always a bit of a sulk but he's been particularly bad in the last couple of games. Having the right footer behind him seeming takes away a lot of his influence on games. He's one of those that needs to feel at the core of everything or everything is against him.

Sainz thinks he's scored but it's given offside. they go up the other end and score.

Gunn channeling the ghost of Long with that one.:laugh:

Edit - Now we should have had a pen. This is certainly a match of football.

    QPR found their shooting boots.

Strange penalty incident in the Sheff W/Preston game.

Not so much the award of it but the fact there was a drop ball before hand which may have been the right call but the ref took ages to give it - seemed to wait for an attack to peter out first.

Awful from back to front today but as a fan I can say we were obviously robbed by the ref.

Will be interesting to see how the manager talks about this one. Plenty of ammunition to use against the officials if he wants to protect the players but I don't think he should.

Did you have 3 goals disallowed ?

Maybe if you lost by a goal then fair enough to blame the ref but 3-0 is pretty convincing.

2 plus a pretty stonewall looking pen not given.

There was also a pretty obvious foul on Gunn in the leadup to one of their goals too. If that was given we'd probably not have ended up in the position where we give away a freekick in their third. With VAR the game might have looked very different.

That being said, we didn't defend the set pieces and made another stupid mistake for the killer 3rd. QPR played to the conditions much more effectively than us and deserved the win.

Frustrating but i'll take a philosophical angle and say this kind of match is why I enjoy football so much. .

I couldn’t see it from my end, but it sounds like there was nothing wrong with the goal we had disallowed in the first half.

not that we deserved anything from the game mind. Cov played to win the game in the 2nd half. Took advantage of the dreadful conditions and our makeshift back line and caused havoc with their deliveries into the box. By contrast we looked like we couldn’t be arsed with it all. Really poor.

great to see the class of 88 on the pitch to pay tribute to the Doc though. Sheringham, Cascarino, a very tubby Brian Horne. Made the hairs on the back of my neck stand on end and they weren’t even my generation .

ah well — onto Sheffield United and Middlesbrough! :dumbstruck

Anyone know who’s managing Coventry? The BBC really need to mention the managers name before they say Coventry.

Handball shout for a pen yeah but what else? Haven't seen the disallowed back yet.

Game itself though, we played well and deserved the win i think. 3-0? Prob about right. Our keeper didn't make any amazing saves and we could have had another couple in the 2nd half.

Spoke to a Norwich fan in our end at half time and he agreed that we deserved to be winning at HT

    Just seen the EFL highlights.

Well you should have had one last week v us so maybe swings and roundabouts?

As ever can never be sure .

Offsides were tight but probably far - no VAR lines otcourse .

And some very ropey defending from Norwich it has to he said .

Credit to Jimmy Dunne playing and scoring after a tough personal week .

Every time it happens, a little bit of sick comes up. Eventually, I think they will just end up calling us Frank Lampard FC. I'm going to sit in a dark room on boxing day when we play Wayne Rooney's Plymouth Argyle.

Having got a 1-1 and missing a Penalty you’d think we should be Disappointed, but the truth is Preston could (maybe should) have had 4 in the First 20 Minutes.
Some of their attacking Football in the 1st Half was very good.
They then contrive, not once but twice (in the space of 2 Seconds) to miss an absolute sitter at the start of the 2nd Half.
We did come into it more in the 2nd Period but missed Bannan’s creativity and energy even at 35, we have no one who can come in and replace him.

I (and many others) were a bit unsure about our starting 11, but we can Forgive Rohl for that.
Where he’s got us Now, compared to where we were when he came in (without much Financial Help) is incredible.
He’s doing a Fantastic Job, however he and we got lucky Today.
