Pozzos selling Udinese allegedly. No idea what this means for us . https://x.com/thewatfordway/status/1926343282746909026 Cannot see them wanting to hang around here ?
Luka Modric has bought a house in the gower from Leon Britton, which suggests he's going to want to have a decent level of involvement in the club as co-owner and will be living down here on at least a part-time basis. It's just about what exactly that role will be, will it purely be in ownership, or will have a role in our recruitment, coaching or even playing? I think realistically he won't be coming here to play, but he's got the credentials to take just about any role in the club, so it'll be interesting to see how things pan out. There may also be a conflict of interest if he was to want to join another Premier League club, so it's probably more likely that he gets a Saudi move.
I don't know their situation but I'd be surprised if they sold Watford any time soon. On a pure value proposition standpoint they'd surely want to sell at the top of a wave and not the bottom.
Went to the Paul Heaton gig at Bramall Lane last night, good view, great gig. However.. took forever to get in… and is it really £7 for a pint in there? Some clubs take the piss!
I think they would take some investment but apparently are asking for 170 million which seems rather far fetched !

So weird. Town through and through, player, coach and manager. At the same time City are obviously ahead of us academy-wise if not in terms of the first team. Our academy has been underperforming for years, but you have to look at the owners. Evans (and Keane) chucked a lot of it away and we’ve yet to catch up. Tell you what, if he goes to you there will be a lot of questions to answer for the people in charge. Pitchforks and suchlike.
Klug is probably the last remaining link at the club from the Bobby Robson era? He was a player under Sir Bobby in the early 70s. My boss is actually a former Town youth player and he still keeps in contact and he said he would be stunned if this happened but who really knows what is going on behind the scenes.
Feels a strange link in all honestly. His long history with Town and bluntly, his age. You don't get many 64 year old staff members crossing divides like that. Suppose there is a world where he's not feeling professionally satisfied in his current job at Town. Could see out his career with a new challenge and could likely do it without needing to move house. Even if this doesn't happen it seems we're going to have a fair bit of blue and white crossover on our staff going forward. Wonder what George Burley has had to say about about his son-in-law upcoming move.
I think he's secretly happy for him. One of my earliest football memories is bumping into him after a game at Carrow Road. I had no idea who it was but my old man and his friend flagged him down for a chat in the Morrisons car park. Once they were done I asked if it was a friend and don't think I believed him when he told me it was the Ipswich manager. He was probably taking in a game ahead of a derby but the secret Canary angle is funnier.
Hello everyone, I'm new on here (first post), I just wanted to say a quick hi and introduce myself. I'm not certain if there are any other Millwall supporters here... I expect there might be some biased remarks about what other Millwall fans do (but I've gotten used to it by now). Still, I thought it would be great to join the conversation.
