One of the most anonymous footballers I can recall seeing play for us (and believe me there's some stiff competition!), just okay all round. Doesn't do anything well, badly or particularly notably in any way. Which of course means, you could do worse!
Was outstanding on debut today in that 6 role. Won a lot of tackles then played short simple passes to get things going.
DC has confirmed Tom Lockyer is training with us having been given the all-clear to resume his playing career. Doesnt mean he will sign for us but he would be a good addition.
We've apparently signed Jonathan Tomkinson. American centre-back who was with Norwich until the summer. Previously played with Bradford and Stevenage on loan. Have to admit, I've never heard of him. Former Norwich City defender set to join Cheltenham Town - Gloucestershire Live
Genuinely think he’s a decent player. Some of our fans were saying we should bring him in as a free agent. He was certainly better than Stubbs for us. Athletic as well and doesn’t turn like and oil tanker. I’m surprised he didn’t get somewhere a bit higher up. Only trouble is probably a lack of game time recently, he’ll probably need a bit of time to get up to speed. Hope he does well.
Quite a bit of movement at Shrewsbury this week: Josh Ruffels finally signs after a saga that has dragged on since the end of the transfer window. Hopefully solves our LWB position and will allow Clucas to move into midfield, although he's played well there the last few weeks. George Nurse gone out on loan to Yeovil, initially for a month. Not the same player after nearly 2 years out with ACL injuries. None of Hurst, Ainsworth or Appleton have really played him in the last 15 months, so must be underlying issues. Shame has he was a decent player for us under Cotterill prior to his injuries. Callum Stewart loaned out to Brackley. Not a surprise given up front is an area we have a few options. Signed from Leamington in January but was far too lightweight for league 1. Scored a few goals in pre season but again looks lightweight for the league. Good chance to go to a level higher than what he was playing at previously and get some games and hopefully goals. Toto Nsiala left by mutual consent. The announcement says he has a few family issues and is taking some time away from the game. Looks a shadow of the player that left us in 2018. Silly to offer him a 2 year deal in summer 2024. His 2nd spell with us has been pretty dreadful, culminating in the horror show at Harrogate in his final appearance. Came on for Anderson and was at fault for the 2 goals. Hopefully he can out himself out, but doubt he'll play league football again

If he’s anything like he used to be he should be good for plenty of goals for you. Thirty two isn’t normally past your best but isn’t that old.
Well he got off the mark yesterday in our EFL Trophy tie yesterday evening and provided an assist too.
