We have signed 31 year old goalkeeper Will Norris on a permanent deal following his exit from Portsmouth,he was voted the best keeper in League 1 last season and he will be our number one.
Birmingham City has completed the signing of Myung-Jae Lee, subject to international clearance. The 31-year-old left-back joins Blues on a deal through to the end of the 2024-25 season, having most recently been at K-League side Ulsan HD, and will wear the number 16 shirt. The South Korea international - who has seven caps to his name - bolsters Chris Davies’ defensive options ahead of a busy fixture schedule between now and the end of the campaign. Lee is Blues’ third signing of the January transfer window, following the arrivals of Grant Hanley and Kieran Dowell.
So in the window we brought in 3 loans Louie Sibley, Dan Gore and Pelly Ruddock Mpanzu. Six have disappeared either on loan or sold so we are bare bones until the end of the season. It looks like we've given up on promotion for this season which is disappointing but also it's probably sensible to save the money and try and improve in the summer. On the plus side we seem to have hung onto Cam Humphries and Hakeem Odoffin and Sam Nombe plus the loans all look like decent signings. We couldn't fill the bench at Birmingham and Wilkes joined the injured list so expect to see an incomplete bench in future games unless we can get an unattached player in later. We need to get JCH back to fitness and try and get him and Jordan Hugill to at least make some sort of contribution to the season, they both owe us that, they have both been terrible so far.
Right back Fin Back has joined us on a permanent deal from Nottingham Forest. The best bit of news for me is that Richard Kone is still a Wycombe player.
He also loves a ' star * jump ' in a play off semi though give him his do , he was great for Pompey last season at London Road . Weird day yesterday for Posh as like most I thought we'd do more business than an 18 yr old from Chippenham but the fact we've signed Lingdren , Johnson , Hughes & Edun earlier in the window , have Suhoso from Man City back fit ( soon Kwame Poku ) & then none of our soon to be out of contract players , Hector Kyprianou who we turned down bid from Watford according to MacAnthony on TalkSport last night , Rikki Jade-Jones & Malik Mothersille none left after having heads turned , maybe now the window has closed they'll buckle down & play like how they can do to earn big bucks contract in Summer at next club(s) though , I'm not holding my breath .
Any Bristol rovers fans about.. We recalled josh Griffiths from them, many expect him to be our new number 1.
First summer signing in the door. Max Power https://x.com/officialbantams/status/1923383849943269744?t=ZCf-sQ4CF9mKcZRdaaMzSw&s=19 Most recently in Denmark after a stint in Saudi
Seems reasonable based on his time at Wigan and Sunderland. Only concern is he's not done loads for the last couple of years in Saudi and Denmark. Certainly a step up compared to signings in the last few years though.
Well it certainly beats signing the likes of Clarke Oduor and crap like that we became accustomed to in league 2.
It's been obvious for a while that the Championship was/is a step too far. With regular game time, who knows? I hope he does well. Not a bad way to score your debut goal.
We’ve just signed our first player - Jamie Paterson on a free transfer from Coventry. 33, and spent most of his career in the Championship. Good experience.
Second one in the door.. Caleb Watts from Exeter. 3 year deal. Refused a contract from them to join us. No idea if he’s any good!
Scored two for us on loan. Got injured so we sent him back to you, then he returned and scored against Birmingham. Looks decent. Hope he is successful.
