    Match: Liverpool vs Arsenal

    Competition: Barclays Premiership

    Venue: Anfield, Liverpool

    Date: Saturday March 31st 2007

    Kick-off: Early KO – 12:45pm

    TV Channel: Sky Sports 1

    Brief guide towards the match:
Arsenal midfielder Gilberto Silva believes that whoever wins this decisive encounter at Anfield will decide who goes onto taking 3rd spot in the Premiership.
After the internationals, Arsenal go to Merseyside to face Liverpool in a ‘mini-battle’.
Arsenal have beaten Liverpool in their last two encounters.
    The Brazilian announced:
“It can be decisive but we know when we play there it is always hard. We need to keep our shape and we need to put other things out of our minds. We can’t afford to miss our concentration like we have in a few important games. At times like this we must stick together. Especially after the hard weeks we have had before. We have an international break now but afterwards I hope we will be very focused because have to be ready for the run-in to qualify for the Champions League.”
Tickets have already sold out at the Arsenal official website.

Not a very important match they'll both have to qualify for the champions league.

Liverpool win? What makes you say that 'Ollie*CUFC'?

The last two meetings between Arsenal and Liverpool saw the London club thrashing their opponents.

I kind of agree to 'Gunner32' but I think Arsenal will get another goal and Liverpool trying to comeback. Prediction from me: 3-1 to Arsenal.

The last two meetings also saw us play a clown in goal.

For the first Bolo Zenden decided to stop running, the second saw RVP get amazingly lucky, whilst the third saw an unmarked header in the six yard box from a corner.

That was just us being bad. Rectifiable mistakes though.

The two cup games though, we messed up by playing Dudek.

Yeah our 12-4 aggragate over you has been all goalkeeping mistakes, bad marking and luck.

    Gotcha.

Saying that I expect us to lose this weekend, we have no strikers left.

The vital statistics prove you wrong 'The_Mighty_Red'...

Arsenal are ahead of Liverpool by one point and with game in hand.
Arsenal recent form was deteriorating but have managed to pick themselves up.
Arsenal's previous two meetings with Liverpool was both wins for the London club?

...I can't name them all because the list is just too long.

##No offence to the Merseyside club, but I think Arsenal are going to win again##

I know. It was a carbon copy of other away games we've lost. Stifle the opposition for 40 minutes without threatening, concede a stupid goal right on half time and then go out second half chasing the game, without looking like scoring and then concede another on the break.

Your two wins at Anfield were perfect away performances, for that sort of match but we were hopeless at the Emirates.

With regards next week, I think we'll have a sense of revenge in the air but we're always shit after international week and will have an eye on PSV.

Well for a start every league match between these two for the last 3 seasons has resulted in a home win. The first cup match this season was an even affair with Liverpool actually having the lions share of possession, definetly not a thrashing! The 2nd was a thrashing but it was reserve teams. Liverpool have a strong first eleven who are more than capable of winning against Arsenal who have more strength in depth but only an equal first team. Liverpool are great at home too so I'll be going for the Liverpool victory on this one.
