Sunderland were outclassed by a team lackin firepower due to the absences of shearer, cort and dyer! The atmosphere was the best ive ever witnessed and the mackems were still shoutin 2-1 after the final whistle! Well I suppose it's the only thing they have done in two decades!!
This match proved that we are a better footballing side then Sunderland and that they just couldnt cope with us attacking them. Phillips was piss poor apart from his goal and Quinn looked like a headless chicken. No doubt we should have beat the lucky f*ckers but it just didnt happen

In the last decade we have beaten the mackems more time than they have beaten us!! We have seen a host of stars play from ginola to ur fav shearer, to tino! We beat barcalona, that was a good game! to be fair i wud rather have had those years of fantastic football rather than one moment of luck!! besides everton are still piss poor and will be for the forseeable future due to lack of finances! Walter Smith has to sell his best players and he is lucky if he gets half the money to spend on players! If u had the opportunity to be at the least a mid-table team with the potential of newcastle rather than a relegation fighting team year in year out which ultimately will end in relegation, i know what u wud prefer!! I have and never will talk Newcastle up, but you get annoyed when Mackems who have spent most of the past decade in division 1 going on and sayin they are better! It's like u lot winning the title in the 80s and claiming u were better than that Liverpool team! The fact is Newcastle are a big club with potential but sadly we are in a bad period at the moment! If you look at our history it isn't great but the club has the third best following in the country behing Man U and Liverpool! We are one of the richest clubs in the world (and not in debt, like everton) and can afford to spend big money on players! If we had replaced Keegan with managers who were good and they had got the money the previous two managers have had we would not be where we are! If being one of the richest clubs in the world, having the 8th best attendance in europe (only a few hundred behind milan) and are able to spend lots of money without qualifying for europe, well if that isn't potential in your mind, i recommend the oxford english dictionary!

Shows you didn't read what i said!! The average attendances for last season were only a few hundred short of Milan's whos average attendance last season was 52,800!! So if that is comparing to Milan it's true stupid! And yeah u really showed u are a better team at the weekend! You wud have had no complaints if we had beaten u 3 of 4-1! And all this with our second string attack! Usually we have Shearer, Cort and Dyer as the attackers but all three for most of the match were unavailable!
