Seems like a good time to be visiting Morecambe while they're still not settled. Optimistic for the win.

Listening to Savage post-match and you can't help but warm to the man. Very low bullshit and honest about Braintree having the best of the first half.

A bit of a bugger we're not playing this mid week. Probably a good time to have gone to York.
Good luck to Morecambe, Wealdstone & Boston ;).

Gutted to not be going to this. I always love a London and surrounding areas away midweek game. Head into the office and you're halfway there, bunk off early and get on the beers pretty much always know someone driving and get a lift home after. Anyway, childcare issues are stopping this one from happening. Just have to wait for Borehamwood and Eastleigh in a few weeks time.
Never an easy game at Wealdstone but we are creating chances, we just need Dallas to put some more away. I wouldn't mind seeing Spasov starting this

You know what, I agree. Was very fair and measured in his interview last week at the shay. But also loved his enthusiasm and excitement for his own team. Will be interesting though how he responds though when adversity hits.
All things considered though he's a lot better interviewer than Cotterill is. What a horrible arrogant tosser he was.

I've given you a like but that's not endorsing the rude things you say about Mr Cotterill :D Also, posted that in wrong thread, haven't I?

A big game for us because our fanbase is ready to go. Patience is wearing thin. We lost 2k off the opening home game attendance due to the pathetic nature of the performance. The 5-0 home win might tempt some of those back but not if we suffer back to back defeats on the road. Hope and optimism is dwindling.

For me it’s all about what Brackley do. if they put in anything like a competent performance they’ll win the game.

My heart says a Carlisle win, my head says a Brackley win due to us being terrible.

If we don’t win the next few games then we can kiss automatic promotion goodbye.

The teams who win this league can afford a couple of defeats but the rest have to be nothing but wins.

    Right now we're way off.

Wealdstone never an easy place to go.

We've met 8 times now with a record from our perspective of:

    W4 D3 L1 F10 A5 Pts 15

at Wealdstone we have won 2 and drawn 2.

So a 2 - 1 win would seem to be on the cards going by the stats. But, as we all know stats mean nothing.

Wealdstone have started better than expected with 9 pts on the board and sit in 8th place. However they are on the back of three straight defeats, so will be desperate to avoid another defeat.

We are unbeaten and have won our first three away games, apparently a feat not done for 59 years. Confidence is high, although apart from Gateshead away, we have not given ourselves a comfortable lead in any of our games and do not seem to know how to drive home some of the advantages of possession we have been able to develop early in games.

A win would be a very good result for us and we would bunny hop Rochdale into second place, assuming FGR win at Morecombe. Dallas has found his scoring boots to add to some impressive displays. Kendall suffered a knock to the knee on Saturday and Spasov came on and had a positive impact on the game on Saturday. This once again gives us confidence in the strength in depth we have in the squad, something we are experiencing for the first time since we lost our EFL spot.

No doubt we will have a large following present to support the team, even allowing for the M25 and the issues that can throw up.

Looking forward to it and predicting a hard fought victory by the odd goal in however many are scored.

Yesterday's game has really left a sour taste in my mouth, can't be bothered with another game so quickly.

We won't get anything here, 2-0 loss

Seen brackley a few times with Curzon I expected this the game we would lose so for me if we win this we are back on track.

not seen a side as good as them for the level at being superbly solid and hard to break through, even coming up a level they are not being smashed this will be a tough game.

unlucky aspect for brackley is Carlisle losing at Sutton because I think we’d gone into this game all billy big b*llocks and go and slip up and now they may I’d hope get blocked up the backside Carlisle team.

saying that for all fans moan about that loss at Sutton regardless of performance we flogged that one ourselves the two Sutton goals most sides would have dealt with and was amateur defending not one marker for the first goal and the second was Sunday league……need to stop the mistakes at the back…..we don’t get played off park in games they are even but most of our goals conceded are horrific basic defending errors we just need to rectify

Automatic promotion is a pipe dream. I’ve never considered this squad anywhere near good enough. At best we’re a couple of key signings off being a top 7 team.

The players need to focus one game at a time. Focus on what’s in front of them, don’t worry about titles, top 7s, playoff finals etc. just deal with the trying to win the next game.

The problem with these players is one good result and they start thinking they are too good for this league and they are going to piss it. It’s unprofessional and downright arrogant. Fact is they aren’t very good, and they need to work f***ing hard for anything they get. The lazy, arrogant joke of a performance yesterday can’t be repeated.

I disagree they can play very well, Woking, Wealdstone and Braintree were comfortable and quite controlled performances.

but it’s inconsistent and while everyone still talks about midfield issues I feel the defensive side is where we need some improvement, too many basic goals scored from nothing, we have a poor goalkeeper, afew atrocious options at centre back and non existent full backs

down here last time we had a solid goalkeeper, possibly the best centre back and left back in division and other 2 areas solid.

could do with a new left and right back and goalkeeper for me, centre back will be better when feeney comes in.

it doesn’t matter how well or poor we played Saturday with a competent defence Sutton do not score, they scored two goals from our defence messing up and if it’s still 0-0 your in the game

Our manager messing up the team selection against Sutton is what I think really done us in.
All he simply had to do was replace Luamba with Ajiboye, but no he decides to ruin the whole balance of a winning team by moving Wearne out wide instead and then bringing Macadam back in which pushed Whelan more further forward where he's no good, then it left Macadam and Ellis playing together in midfield and that obviously doesn't work.

This is the second time this season he's made a poor needless selection. If Hughes doesn't rate Ajiboye already then why did he bother signing him?

Despite three straight losses, we're playing pretty well. Carlisle was the poorest performance of the three and whilst we didn't deserve anything, their keeper was forced into a couple of really important stops in the second half.

It's stating the obvious but we've got to stop giving such cheap goals away, Chinedu's 'clearance' which leads to Rochdale's third goal on Saturday for example is completely preventable. Southend should take heed from what Dale did and have a couple of strikers up top - one to flick things on or hold the ball up and the other with some pace to get round the sides of our back three.

As for Stones, Kretzschmar wasn't involved at all on Saturday and I don't know why, hopefully just rested and he's good to go tomorrow. Adarkwa will probably come back in too for Hutchinson.

Edit: One of the Stonescast contributors summed it up nicely last week - we're probably two players away from being a decent side in this league, but conversely two injuries away from being well short of the league standard.

Noor Husin, if selected makes his 150th appearance for us tomorrow. Wonderful achievement and he will have been through quite a bit in his time with us, not all that he expected. He's become a regular for us, and although last year he was slow to get up to speed, this season he has been one of our most consistent performers.

Farnborough battering Chelmsford, that'll be a good win for them.

    Carlisle fans seem very depressed...
The Rochdale fans seemed ready to sack their manager when they lost (undeservedly) to us... and they're top of the league.
Doesn't everyone just need to give it a bit more time?

Anyway, we score very few, but don't concede many. Squad already threadbare and felt we looked tired on Saturday and didn't play very well. I think Carlisle will have an excellent chance, and I'd be happy with a point. A few of our players perhaps not looking quite good enough to step up, and the new signings a mixed bunch. I think midweek games for semi-pro teams are especially challenging, albeit we're at home this week.
