Yeah I would expect them to push to sell as close to and ideally not a penny below £20m in the current market tbh. The manager has seemed to take to him. Started him last three games. He got 66 minutes last night, and 72 against Arsenal. 64 against Real Betis. Perhaps they are shop-windowing him and of course there's been a lack of options - but he is showing his worth. He has great composure and intelligence for his age.
In the recent past we've put favourable sell on clauses for the selling team to get these kinds of players at a reduced initial fee. Worked with both Livramento and Lavia.
Equally slot has had no real other lw option as gakpo, diaz and nunez have been off and Jota had to play 9 also for past two. Slot might have played doak or Gordon but carvalho would suit the inverted role more. Let's see. He's not done too bad at all in the games.
We've had a natural 6 in the squad but Slot has refused to start him and we now know Endo isn't in his plans.
I'd have to agree from the evidence so far. Slot has tried every attacking type midfielder in there, jones, szoboszlai and now gravenberch. He seems to be looking for real pass and move players to interact with the back 4 and move it fast with one and two touches. I just don't see endo making that position his own. I think it'll suit macallister perfect so the question is who will partner him and who will play 10 for me.
Bit of an over reaction to losing to man city's youth side in a friendly don't you think? Gallagher must have been very concerned about the performance to suddenly decide to jump ship like that As an aside, it will never cease to baffle me how you guys are able to get good fees for players with a year left on their contracts that you appear to be actively forcing out of the club. It's uncanny
Does Simeone even care? If that were the case I think he'd of kept Felix. Think Gallagher will suit Atletico.
Maybe just seems a weird move when you can get any random kid from their academy to do what Gallagher is good at which is just running around like a headless chicken.
I don't know about getting worse but they've done this remarkable thing where they are an even bigger unknown quantity than they were last summer. And this is the third straight summer they've done this.
In fairness they have not yet spent 500mil net and have a net profit off the window (ignoring agent fees) Has anyone of the Chelsea folks predicted their opening day line up yet?
This rumour has popped back up. Think we were linked back in May-ish with Celtic wanting £50m, and then had radio silence through June/July as we seemed to pursue other targets Atalanta have apparently submitted multiple sub £20m bids in the meantime, so maybe that's made celtic re-evaluate their expectations Can't see it happening as I saw Chelsea being linked the other day, so it will play out the same way as KDH if there's any truth to that Edit: Also apparently Gomez is done, but won't be joining till January. £11m initially and another couple in potential add ONS
Rodgers has already confirmed we wont change our stance. £50 million quoted is miles off and just twittter chat. we rejected £23 million from Atletico in January but is believed we wont even acknowledge anything untill it hits £25 million with some add ons.
Classic twitter. We've definitely reached the point of spending £30-35m on key targets now, and I vaguely remember us being linked to him last summer as well which makes it quite a longstanding interest, so if £25m + add ons is needed it's definitely not out of the question Still suspect there are bigger fish in for him though, and that he'll go to one of them if he moves. Always feels weird when players even consider moving from a champions league club to one that will never qualify for it
