Trevor Francis memorial match announced for the 2nd of August, taking in the unveiling of the new statue outside the ground. Opponents not confirmed but expect it’ll be Forest or one of his former Italian clubs, that said it could also be Sheff Wed or QPR which would be a bit low key seeing as we’re in the same division. Rumour has it we offered Rangers a rematch but they wanted a fee to come and play again, which we’ve politely told them to shove up their arses.
I had two free tickets for every home game last season & usually have them away. They’ve stopped now,so there’s no way,I’ll pay £20 to line that ****ers pockets.
Deportivo de La Coruña home friendly . https://x.com/WatfordFC/status/1934914090297696666 Brings back memories of them being Spanish Champions and regulars in the Champions league around the mid 90s- early 00s. David Beckham broke his foot against them in 2002.
Sevilla in Portugal, 8pm on a Saturday night in Albuferia, should be a pretty quiet occasion I imagine…
got my rangers tickets we sold over 4k in the 1st hour be interesting to see if we sell out the full 8k
Opponent confirmed as Forest for Trev’s memorial game, unveiling of the statue and guests on the pitch etc, should be a great occasion, an icon for both clubs
I was planning on staying over for the night as i work with a few rangers folk but too many mates from home etc wanted to go as well, so i've reluctantly jumped on the bus that i usually go on had no issues with that anyways. might still stop over and just get the train back on sunday
Pre-season tour to Indonesia to play in the President's Cup, which apparently draws capacity crowds of 70,000+ to their main stadiums. This is followed by a few lower league games against the likes of Mansfield and Bristol Rovers and a home game against CD Leganes who, I think, were relegated from Spain's top tier last season.
Not sure I've ever seen a 'serious' pre season testing video before. It's usually just players bantering over who will do best in the bleep test. Must be the club showing that they are actually trying to stop injuries.
We played port Vale today behind closed doors. Won 2-0. Tammer bany and ollie bostock with the goals.
just beat Peterborough 3-1 at Seagrave, 2 goals from Louis Page and 1 from Silko Thomas, very young second half team from us with Coady, Justing, Kristiansen and Soumare being the senior lads second half
