Once again this season more away wins (6) than home victories (4).

    Can’t remember any season comparable.

If anything it must make the bookies nervous. And us supporters wondering who will get promoted let alone win title.

Would you swap him for Dennis?

Every club in this league would swap him for 3 or 4 of their stocking fillers but would you straight swap McGoldrick for Dennis?

No, to be fair to them it’s something they seem to have got right. We’ve got a dangerous strike force of two relatively young strikers with real potential and value, and it’d be hard to fit Didzy into the team as well.

I think there are two obvious points where you can criticise the recruitment. I was happy to give him a chance, but Roos spreads panic through the defence and ground whenever he gets involved, and we’ve signed too many in midfield who are either similar or don’t look up to it. I’m not sure you need both Norburn and Iorpenda, or both Khouyar and Hall. One of those lot with cobbling the rest together for a really good attacking midfielder would probably have been better.

I really like having Norburn and loanee Iorpenda in that central area with Palmer but agree no need for Khouyar and Hall. Neither of whom have really featured.

You need a very solid 3 dependable in central midfield.

Did you go towards Junction 7? Or via Junction 9?

Junction 9, Bescot Crescent and the Broadway are always rammed on a matchday. But if you go the opposite direction towards Junction 7 then it is nowhere near as bad, I managed to get away fairly rapidly heading that direction, about ten minutes to Junction 7.

We also had England playing at Villa park which can also back traffic up around the M6 and Junction 7.

He still has all his class but Father Time has caught up with him pace wise

Turned right out of Broadwalk retail park, and then right again at the next junction as we went back via A38!

I mean about 30 minutes was spent getting out the retail park so there’s that

Similar issue at Shrewsbury where we have Stubbs, Anderson and Boyle together. All 3 would be good alongside others that can move, but it just invites trouble all 3 at the same time.

Do you play 3 or 4 at the back? Dunkley was brilliant for us under Cotterill in 22/23 playing in the centre of a back 3. Scored some important goals too. I think the only minutes he didn't play that season were the last few of the last game of the season when he was sent off.

2nd season with us his lack of pace was initially exposed as we had players with lesser ability. It became even more apparent when Hurst came in and switched to a back 4 and he kept getting caught out of position. Guessing his long injury lay off for you last season hasn't helped either.

We play back 4 so might explain a bit of it if he’s played mostly in back 3. But I’d have thought he’s experienced enough to lay either.

Had my 3 month old son’s baptism in a quaint town in Portugal on Saturday. Did I miss anything?

Hall turned 19 on Thursday. It’s a long old season and plenty of time for him to break into the team yet. Khouyar was an odd one though, I’d be surprised to see much of him.

Yes, you missed a great first half from a quaint town in Lincolnshire (the new favourites for the top spot) and a second half of grit from 10 guys who nearly made a difference to the outcome.

Back 4. Both are better suited to playing in the centre of a back 3 I feel.

Chesterfield and MK remain the favourites for the Title, and rightly so. Just a handful of games into the season so the pre season favourites remain. Good, or less than favourable starts, will mean didly squat come May. Long, long way to go.

Grimsby and Swindon a fair way back in the bookies odds behind the big 2

Not looking good for Barrow, will be nice to take their place in the football league soon.

About time the horrible little tinpot club went down.

I've decided Khouyar was signed so that we could bin off international break games if Jatta and Jones are both called up

Yep that'll do it. The retail park is always a pain to get out of, trying to fight your way onto Bescot Crescent.

In future visits I's recommend finding some street parking in these areas.

Barley a ten minute walk and if you get there before 2pm you'll easily find a place, and then getting away towards Junction 7 or 10 is much, much quicker. Forget Junction 9.

We are next up for Barrow at our place, although we do have a soft spot for them (or in particular Josh Kay) for scoring against Northampton meaning our 7-0 was enough to get promotion

Appreciate that mate. Although I’d be mad to return after my last 3 visits, all shit shows… sure I’ll still do it though for some unknown reason
