Honestly no you don’t. he’s very good for turning a club around I think Southport could do with him. bit it’s tedious, really really tedious to watch……the type who at 1-0 down would set a goal to rather lose 1-0 than risk going for a goal and maybe making it 2-0
Based on Millington’s comments in our local paper, highly doubt he’s here next season. Totally slagging off the chairman for lack of backing, and how amateurish we are off the field. Hopefully hearing it from his once yes man is the wake up call Bosomworth needed. Either he pulls his finger out, or he needs to hand over the reigns to someone else.
Wasn't sure where to put this but Chris Agutter has signed an extension until 2029. https://x.com/WorthingFC/status/1923736512568398149?t=GF7JjqvHgv9WUwWStv0XUg&s=19 Big statement of loyalty from the board and probably a sign that the transition towards full time is beginning.
Reckon Lakeland is unlikely to walk into another top NLN job like Kiddy - he might be the first of a raft of changes there, since they are supposed to be slashing the budget
And officially confirmed. Happy with that appointment. With all the names floating around his was the one that made the most sense
Good luck to him. Top guy. Always spoke to everybody in our sports bar after games and had a few pints
Hearing it’s between Danny Scopes and Matt Gray as to our next manager, second round of interviews happening this week with others in the mix - the above being the favourites so far
TO be fair Big Dave, he did well for us in the NPL and played good footy. But as soon as we hit the confs rest he went from 3-4-3 to a 5-4-1 formation, even at home. As U have pointed out, he did the same at Curzon.
We do need to establish why Steve Cotterill doesn't play Christian Doidge, our leading goalscorer of the season more. He tried to bring him on as a sub against Southend just before it went to penalties, but it was too late to catch the ref's attention.
No offence because he is a decent target man, but surely no one can seriously suggest that Joe Quigley is a better striker then Christian Doidge. One is our top scorer and club legend (despite being left on the bench most of the time) and the other hasn't scored a single league goal this season. I'd love for someone to ask Cotterill why he barely used Doidge in the run in and not at all tonight.
It was clear to see tonight Quigleys qualities an absolute nightmare for centre halves but yeah that goal scoring issue is a big problem
