Always happens in life doesn't it? Mediocrity get the top jobs and the people who have a clue get shanned off
Reminds me of my favourite football quote so far this year, coming from Sean Dyche: "I spent about £9m in 2014 with Burnley and we went down on 33 points. Kompany got 24 points after spending £127m and got the Bayern job. I don't know how that works. I wish I was doing it. I wish I'd have left the club £127m in debt and got the Bayern job."
Yeah don't know the contract situation there but outside looking in what are they actually waiting for?
It’s a weird one considering how close you were but that is the price paid in a very tough national north. for all they will be praised right now the same fate easily may hit the Scunthorpe or Chester manager the day after the play off final
There were obvious issues. We only managed to come from behind to win twice. In cup games against Halesowen and Leek. I think Dave Worrall and Hemmings were papering over cracks in that big run honestly.
They stupidly gave him a 2 and a half year deal in Jan, since then I’ve heard there is a relegation clause of a 6 month pay off if we got relegated. They released a statement that finally acknowledged we got relegated some 24 hours after it happened, before then zero acknowledgement not even in the match report or on socials just that the game ended. These owners are clueless, I really do fear for us.
Lewis Young finally sacked, months too late for us, 5 wins in his 23 games in charge and won’t be getting another job.
Matt Saunders would be an interesting choice for Dagenham, I am sure he will apply. Will definitely put the hours in, was an integral part of Wealdstone’s comfortable survival at this level under Maynard. Style of football whilst easy on the eye, is passing for the sake of passing. Downside is he’s massively thin-skinned and he’s never been a No 1.
I saw a tweet from a random account that had like 15 followers but that's it. Can't see why he would leave, why we would pay the 2 years compensation
