Costa's goal should have been disallowed for a high foot? Boy, football really has turned into a game for girls. It was a spectacular effort, and a good goal. It's a game for men, that's why it's worth watching. It would have been a crime if it had been disallowed just because someone MIGHT have gotten hurt. What's next, you're not allowed to shoot off-target because the keepers are getting too tired going to fetch the ball? Overall feeling about the game was disappointment. Armchair reffing is understandable, but when it comes to the two Swansea goals we fluffed our lines. Courtois was lucky to stay on, it's safe to say he's not a sweeper keeper (I basically don't like the guy, to be fair). Mind you, he was put in a horrible situation by a very poor pass. On the other one, Cahill had to his back to play, in front of goal, and was the last man. It was a foul on him, but you play to the whistle and he left us hopelessly exposed. Swansea were nowhere near us up until we gifted them two chances. Conte also got things wrong at times. Not playing Fabregas is silly. And his subs happen too late. We brought a second striker on in the 89th minute, for goodness sakes. We're also very predictable - we always bring on Fabregas, Moses, and Batman. Every single time. Having said that, we should have walked this. I say that based on the performance. We're just not clinical enough. For all we did in the 1st half, 1-0 was not a good score to go in with. I'd be worried as a Swansea fan. Their heads went down after our first goal, and they looked lacking everywhere except in goal for much of the game. They started very physically, with lots of fouls to break us up. Still, as I've already said, it's a mans game and we ought to be able to handle it.
Got to love your looking for bias in a Chelsea fan commenting on a Chelsea game. It's a fan site, you fool, not journalism. And of course, the irony of your biased comments earlier. You couldn't make it up. So how you been gal? Seems as though you've managed to run off most of our fellow fans from this site. Well done for defining the very bottom rung of being a Chelsea fan. How's your pivot? ps: Maybe one day you'll learn how to remove the "Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk" from every post. Or knowing you, probably not.
Am I right in thinking Chelsea should have had a player sent off in every single game so far this season? Costa should have had three reds this season alone and it's only the fourth game for **** sake!
Decent performance by Chelsea apart from a silly goal and a shocking referee decision. It's looking like we're beginning to turn into more of an attacking team which is nice to see. Liverpool this Friday will be a great game! Gutted about dropping 2 points but hey we're still 2nd and that's great.
Just wish Hazard could be hungrier for success. The game was there for him to show his class but you could see he wasn't as motivated as previous games this season. Even in games he starts well you can see him become more casual as soon as he thinks he's done enough for the day. He should be looking for another goal most of the time. Hoping Conte can bring the old Matic back too. Last season you could see he was planning on a summer move and a fresh start (even confirmed that in an interview now) but Conte persuading him to stay. If Conte can get title winning Matic back we could be dark horses for the title. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Lol. You mean when Fabianski fouled him? Did you watch the game or MOTD? Did you see him getting kicked, niggled from the start as usual? I watched the game, saw the replay's of the incident then tuned in to Radio 5 to hear two hours of people (most hadn't even watched the game) ranting on about Costa being the anti-Christ and the 'big-teams' getting all the decisions. He went over like a tart but he was fouled - fact. If you think otherwise you either didn't see the replay's or you mislaid your specs's. Annoyed that crap refereeing probably cost us 2 points.
He should've been off, he should've been off in the first and second game, Kante should've been off in the first game. Stop ****ing whinging, you've gotten off lucky.
I'll ask you again - why should he of been sent off yesterday?? ....and of course Amat shouldn't of been sent off and Cahill wasn't fouled for Swansea's second goal. Lucky your arse.
Welcome back Osgood. Funnily enough your return coincides with Chelsea's upturn in form you ****ing plastic twat.
Tbf. Costa has been massively lucky since coming over here. Not sure how he's managed to not get sent off yet.
He got sent off last season against Everton in the FA Cup and (probably) should of been sent off against Liverpool when he stamped on Can and against Arsenal (Gilberto(?). He comes from a different footballing culture and he's far from a saint but he takes constant grief practically every game and always treads a fine line but the bottom line is this ; Chelsea fans love him and if he's winding up the opposition it's mainly because he's a threat/fantastic player.
Totally get that, and yes he is a target no doubt about it, just surprised he's not had 3/4 reds since coming here.
Probably? He stamped on Can and Skrtel in one ****ing game good to see we have another Chelsea fan who can remain unbiased :.
Can't argue with that at all Shane, probably more in this day and age. You're not biased at all though. Match of the Day 2, 2016/17: 11/09/2016 FF to 20:30
It was a dive, he could equally have been shown a second yellow for high foot- that would've been harsh though .
