I'd rather have an English manager who belts out the national anthem with the crowd (scousers aside) but it's not really a massive deal is it? Just don't think it helps him personally. One thing Southgate was fantastic at was creating/ bringing back that feeling of patriotism and all being in it together. This feels like a bit of a backwards step in that regard, but if he doesn't want to sing it (understandable given his dual nationality) then fair enough. Reading in the news about some no-mark convicted over the riots who was making £1400/month from posting anti-immigrant stuff on X, it’s easy to see why so many people and media outlets do it.
