I'm not saying you are not wishing well for the bloke and his family, I'm just saying you could have walked away from the argument. Sorry if you misinterpreted what I said.

Can I ask people so you have your say, instead of closing this thread on my own back. Would it be best to close this thread or continue on with stuff that's been back and forth more then a 100mph pendulum. Id rather now concentrate on having a thread to wish the lad well and post some kind of donations page. I can then send the well wishes to the lad in question..

    Let me know please.

Get well soon to the Watford fan.Sounds like an innocent fan which is absolutely horrible. If like minded idiots fight then they know what may possibly happen but for an innocent supporter to end up in a coma is disgusting.

If some people think I was WUMing I can genuinely assure you I wasn't. Couldn't care much for past exchanges on here especially after an incident like this.

Redmans post on the face of it wasn't actually that bad, but the language and tone used especially given the said posters previous on Watford topics resulted in a reaction from our lot. He then didn't help himself but I am happy not to dwell on it.

Good to see that the majority have genuinely wished the poor guy well. I heard the attackers may not have even attended the game, even less reason to tar the good
folk of Wolverhampton with the same brush as the idiots in their town.

I really really hope the man makes a speedy and full recovery, regardless of whether he was looking for trouble or not, no one deserves that; I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy. I'd also like to make it clear that the VAST VAST majority of Wolves fans are nothing but decent, hardworking, everyday, good people. I hope the scum get the book thrown at them.

Awful, awful news. I sincerely hope he pulls through and is okay.

There are times when I am proud to be a Wolves fan, and many when I am truly embarrassed. This is certainly a situation where I am embarrassed

Some well-intentioned posts have been taken the wrong way and there have been some poor and even defamatory posts on all sides.

Let's just boil it down to basic points.

We all hope Nick Cruwys recovers.
We all hope the scumbag perpetrators who, in my eyes, aren't Wolves fans or even football fans are caught and brought to justice.

For those of you who want to donate to his (hopeful) rehabilitation the details are on this thread: http://www.footballforums.net/showthread.php/312449-Nick-Cruwys
