I said a while ago Arsenal have been crap most of the season and got by with stuffy last minute goals and when that happens either the results dry up or they get momentum from the wins and improve. The momentum hasn't happened though.

Top 4 and FA Cup still possible and then it's the usual everything is good again in May, but they're not playing well this season.

Great result. Man U & Arsenal outside the top 4 will do me, wasn't fancying City & Spurs to drop out.

Arsenal don't deserve CL football next year, this is what the club and the board need, qualifying for CL every year and finishing top 4 has made them accept mediocrity.

Needs a manager like Massimo Allegri to come in and shake things up, too many mid-table quality players at Arsenal.

If you guys win tomorrow, you will finish above them IMO.

Even Everton are looking a better team than Arsenal right now.

Anyway, West Brom. Well done, a very committed well drilled performance. It'll be interesting to see if Pulis can take you up another level next year.

    Thanks Akny.

Great ****ing win and performance, hopefully this means we're not gonna let the season peter out. Dawson, McLean and Livermore were all brilliant, delighted with that game.

Actually not a bad point to be fair.

I've enjoyed Europa so far, granted I expect us to capitulate in the last month or two due to playing the same team every game but it's good to play some form of European football.

We've had a tough run of games as well and the quality of teams left in competition will make it difficult to win, certainly don't recall a Europa last 8 being this strong in recent memory.

No doubt! We bottle it every time we have a chance to close the gap.

Just saw some highlights of the game. It's incredible how good this team are at set pieces. Why nobody else bothers training set pieces is beyond me, as if you are even as good as WBA you will get goals (NI team definitely benefiting from our defence all playing at WBA, as NI never scored from set pieces until recently).

Plenty of time for yourselves to drop out as well.

Arsenal are dead in the water, in my opinion. The only way I can see them going on any kind of run would be if Wenger makes an announcement regarding stepping down at the end of the season.

Huh? You are joking right?

    Last season

    Liverpool
    Dortmund
    Sevilla
    Villareal
    Sparta Prague
    Shahktar
    Athletico Bilbao
    Braga

was every bit as strong and more as whats left this season

    United
    Lyon
    Genk
    Anderlecht
    Ajax
    Celta Vigo
    Schalke
    Besiktas

If anything I'd say this years is piss poor and if you don't win that you need shooting, who are the real dangers? Anderlecht and Genk are very average. Schalke are a bottom half German side who are just three points from the relegation spots. Ajax aren't anything special these days. Lyon neither and are a mile behind the top three in France. Celta Viga a bottom half side. Besiktas? No chance. Out of those 8 sides only 2 or 3 of them will be qualifying for next seasons Champions League via their own leagues...not a strong line up at all imo. The fact you are 6/4 favourites to win the trophy and its only in the QF's outlines this.

He's taking the piss. He knows they've pretty much got a bye to the trophy this season. That quarter final line up is an absolute joke for a European competition. Much easier to beat those bunch of no marks than finish in the top 4.

All 8 teams last year, not one won their league.

This years crop includes the current leaders of the Belgian/Turkish leagues, two of the most improved divisions in world football.

    Hope this helps.

    yeah rightttttt

I know who I'd rather face out of Dortmund and Anderlecht, Sevillla and Celta, etc

you are talking abosulte bollocks, deluded, absolutely deluded.

Three of the teams were Spanish, how were they supposed to win the league?...incidentally, the three Spanish teams were last year and are again this year vastly superior to the sole Spanish team this year. Sevilla are EL specialists, Dortmund one of the stringest sides you'll see in that competition, they too are vastly superior to the sole German team this year.
