Good film about the hunt for the gangster John Dillinger in the early 1930's. 8/10.

    The Death of Stalin [2017]

A political comedy with a phenomenal cast, written and directed by Armando Iannucci - what could possibly go wrong? I was looking forward to this and expected a sort of Soviet era The Thick of It but sadly the 50 minutes I endured before binning it off just weren't funny. If anyone has seen it to the end I'd be interested to know if it improves, but not interested enough to watch it myself.

I'm very interested in watching this. Was going to go to the pictures to see it when it came out, but spent my money on whisky instead. I think I'll like it, or see if I have a similar experience to you.

Isle of Dogs. I love Wes Amderson's films and this was no exception. Fantastic movie.

Me too, I do like a naff film now and again, not everything I watch has to be Tarkovsky or Kubrick!

    The Hitman's Bodyguard - 7.5/10

Was bored last night before bed and wanted an easy going action type film so watched this on netflix, was much better than I thought it would be, some genuinely funny moments, SL Jackson and Reynolds had great chemistry.

Think it helped that I was expecting it to be a pile of shit, so when it ended up actually being alright, I probably liked it more than I should've done.

Awful acting and full of people not from America trying to be American.

I don't know why they think a southern drawl is a way of hiding a non-American accent.

Just use f*cking Americans. Or if you want to use English people, let them play English characters.

I can understand it with someone of the magnitude of Tom Hardy, everyone wants him in their films and he’s very versatile. But a man that appeared in one episode of Black Mirror and Finchy from the office? And a guy from Home and Away?

    Get a grip.

Only watched this as it has a few pieces that link up to Infinity war and I wanted to see the origins of the character. Wasn't keen but i'm glad I watched it. Was a very solid MCU film. There are a lot of questions (regarding his infinity stone) but i'm hoping infinity war will answer some of those.

Battle of the sexes - 5/10

I thought this was going to be a comedy but there ended up being too much serious drama, found it to be very dull, especially the first hour.
