I think the results say a lot about the English fans. We value respect and principle before anything, it doesn't matter if he is best player in the world. You know it’s bad when he comes across worse than f*cking Neymar. Jeez.
Abramovich is/was idolised by your fan base as is John Terry. You had Marcos Alonso playing for you for years. Suarez is idolised at Liverpool. Newcastle fans don't care that their owners execute people for being gay. Man City fans are constantly defending their owners. Fan bases are routinely mocking football disasters at games etc etc. But yeah, signing Mbappe is a step too far for the respectful and principled fans.
At this moment we're sorted in the forward areas. And with Eddie Howe in charge we'll never have a place for Mbappe.
Mbappé has now stated that he won't sign the +1 in his 2-year contract extension he signed last summer and that he also intends to play for PSG this season meaning he'll leave for free in 2024. It is said that he will receive a signing bonus in September (8M€ I think it is) which he won't be able to get if he leaves this summer. The club has taken matters in their own hands but not taking Mbappé to their pre-season tour in Japan. Player and club are now officially at war. Don't think I remember seeing such a young, talented player but as interested by money than he is. CR7 & Messi want last fat paychecks in Saudi & Florida fair enough but the fact that he wants the signing bonus and is ready to clash the club that has been paying his wages shows some pretty poor attitude. Would you still take him at your club?
I don’t see what the problem is at all here. It’s within his rights to see his contract out. He’s Not refusing to play, or throwing a tantrum. He just doesn’t want to stay at a club that’s going nowhere. PSG have came out of this looking terrible.
I agree with what you’re saying…. It it’s just another issue that people/fans have with football is the obscene amount of money being paid in wages. While the average man on the street is struggling with costs.
Agreed, we've seen similiar players in the Premier league, they only seem to be happy when they're planning their next move.
The problem is that he blatantly refuses to enable his employer to get lots of money from RM but switching sides this summer instead of next summer. Would you like a player doing this to your club? I don't think so...
Maybe not. But it’s still within his rights to see his Contract out. He might not want to go to Saudi, or any other club that’s came knocking (which doesn’t seem like any).
PSG are an oil club, it would be hilarious if they didn't get anything for a player who cost €180 million in 2017, plus a reported €72 million/year wages. Just a shame that the beneficiaries would be the loathsome Real Madrid.
