    A few questions for you...

    1. Who do you support?
    2. Do you expect next season to be better than this season?
    3. What would be the minimum expectation for next season?
    4. What would you consider a good season next season?

I'll start it off. I support Reading, but having been a Liverpool fan as a kid, I still follow both (I know - Shame on me lol)

    1. Reading
    2. It's a new start. I guess I expect consolidation
    3. Top half of league 1
    4. Play-offs, which we just missed this season

    1. Liverpool
    2. I expect similar. I expect Man City and maybe Chelsea to provide a bigger challenge than Arsenal did this season
    3. Top 4 has to be an absolute minimum
    4. Another title would be a good season and realistically achievable IMHO

    1. Who do you support?
    HSV (aka Hamburger SV/Sport Verein)

    2. Do you expect next season to be better than this season?
    No.
Last season we were 2nd in the standings (in 2.Bundesliga, though).
Better would mean first, ahead of Bayern Munich :D (we did that regularly....but in the late 1970s and early 1980s ;) )

    3. What would be the minimum expectation for next season?
    Not being relegated

    4. What would you consider a good season next season?
    Not being relegated.

edit: Oops, I realized that this thread is in the "General British Football" not in the "General Worldwide Football" section.
    I don't support any english/british football club...so sorry that I posted here :ashamed:coat

Your answer to number 2 is crazy logic. You don’t need to finish first next season to have a better season than last season. It is already better by being in a division above.

    1) Spurs
    2) Ooof, I don't know. We'll definitely be better in the league but I don't know that that necessarily translates to having a better season.
    3) Qualification for Europe is always the minimum. Ideally not whilst finishing 17th.
4th) A good season is a trophy or Champions league qualification.

Even though it clearly says Reading under your name, I alwasy assumed you were a Brentford fan

    1) Arsenal
    2) Yeah, certainly in the league. We're likely going to finish on 74 points with a plethora of injuries hampering us along the way. As long as we don't get the same injuries again, I do think we'll better that tally. As for the cups, impossible to know. All depends on draws. As for the CL, I think we can get to the semis again.
    3) For where we are at this moment in our story, CL qualification is the minimum requirement.
    4) Getting back up over 85 points OR making a final along with CL qualification OR another deep run in the CL along with CL qualification.

    1) Posh .

    2) With current squad then NO , we've lost or losing Hector Kyprianou , Kwame Poku , Jed Steer & Rikki Jade-Jones & if Archie Collins doesn't sign a new contract he'll be up for sale which will mean our starting X1 on 1st Saturday in August won't have any players who featured in our play off defeat to Oxford in May 2024 .

I also think if Posh are struggling around December time then for the 3rd time in his Posh career Fergie will quit .

    3) Higher than this seasons 18th but I actually fear if we sign lots of ' prospects ' & no experienced players we'll be relegated , you need a balance which we missed massively first half of last season .

    4) I'm gonna be a realist & say 10th-12th this being , most players we sign are pretty average in their first season with Posh & improve massively in their second season & the competition i hate & have never watched a single match in the Johnston's Bristol Street Vertu trophy in which Posh have won on 3 occasions & which our owner / chairman loves us to do well in to win that 3 times in a row though a 5th round FA Cup match at home for me would be great .

    1. Who do you support?
Birmingham City, although I do follow Liverpool as well because they win things.
    2. Do you expect next season to be better than this season?
It already is because we’re no longer in that shitfest they call League One
    3. What would be the minimum expectation for next season?
    Top 10.
    4. What would you consider a good season next season?
Top 10, although I have a feeling our owners will not accept that and regard it as a failure. Mr Davies will be under a lot of pressure from the off.

    2. No, we won a cup last season and qualified for CL. It would be a miracle to equal that let alone improve on that.
    3. Top 10 finish in the league.
    4. A Top 4 league finish, getting the the final of at least one domestic cup and getting to the knockout stages of the CL.

    2. Do you expect next season to be better than this season?
Dunno, doubt it given the circumstances on what it meant winning the title in front of the fans, etc.

    3. What would be the minimum expectation for next season?
Top 2, go further in CL and win or go close winning a domestic cup.

    4. What would you consider a good season next season?
    As above.

    1. Who do you support? what it says in my profile (look to the left)

    2. Do you expect next season to be better than this season? I have said it was disappointing when Liverpool went out of Europe and lost the cup final in the same week, especially with league pretty much truly on course

to be better Liverpool would have to either score very high points in winning the league or win league + something so for "expect" read "hope"

    3. What would be the minimum expectation for next season? title challenge surely, and decent run in Champions League, anything else is bonus tinpottery

    4. What would you consider a good season next season? not sure how different that is to above other than depends how good you mean

disappointing - not much of a title challenge, no cups, QF at best in Europe
would like/"good" - league title, maybe a cup/semi or final, definitely further in Europe
really good - league title and a cup with decent runs, similar to 21/22 but with league won instead of one of the cups

settle for - league or Champions League win if cheats carry on/resume from where they left off in 23/24

    3. What would be the minimum expectation for next season? Title challenge and better in CL.

    4. What would you consider a good season next season? Top 2, Qf/SF of CL and not lose a 3rd FA cup final in arow.
