Even when you can manage to stay up for 3 seasons like we did after the 2014 play off win, it gets really depressing knowing you are going to lose all the time.
Of course it's great when you beat a top team but supporters eventually get fed up of losing and the negativity gets overwhelming.

At least the yo yo seasons you get a bit of sunshine and you look forward to match days again.

It's only going to get worse if the EFL don't start punishing these teams spending money they clearly haven't got.

Definitely his decision. It wasn't going to be feasible to extend his contract. That's the last of the Premier League contracts gone.

This is said every year and baring last season, a lot of them struggle. You don't normally see all 3 finish top 6.

I would be happy with 10th. Bookies have us as joint 7th most likely to gain promotion (joint with 4 other teams I must admit). There is excitement around QPR for next season though. It would be great to flirt with play offs rather than flirt with 17th like usual.

I think the same could be said of the PL. Depressing knowing you are going to lose most of the time, the negativity that eventually breeds after a few seasons, although great to occasionally beat a top team.

With this guy moving to such a huge club, is he likely to start making the England squad?

Probably not, but the development he has made over the last two seasons has been very good, and if that continues no reason why not. He only became first choice for us at the latter end of the 2019/20 season, and then from there established as one of the better left backs in the division. I think it would take an injury to Davies and for him to play regularly for Bayern for him to be in any consideration. There still seems to be a preference for players playing in England (Tomori should have been going to the Euros and didn't even make the 33!)

If I were to compare him to Nicky Shorey who was capped with us, then he's nowhere that level yet. But Shorey did not get too much of a look in as he was competing with Ashley Cole at the time whereas competition is slightly easier now. Richards is only 2 years younger than Shaw and Chilwell, but think it would be difficult to get in ahead of them barring injury.

George Moncur in on a free. Based on what I read he's decent. Good set piece taker, as well?

Need the bodies in midfield especially if Slater doesn't come back.

Moncur likes a goal against us. Scored a worldie against us a few years back, has always looked decent.

Moncur seems to be one of those players who should have done more with his career. I saw him a few times when he first came through and thought he was a good player but he hasn't really kicked on.

So Darren Moore hasn't got the pulling power he thought he would have at Hilllsborough.

Good luck to the lad, he gets a chance to show what he can do in the Championship.

He said he wouldn’t join another league one club and he’s stuck to his word which is good. He’s been brilliant for us the past two years and deserves a crack at the championship

We've signed Devante Cole on a 3 year deal as a free agent. Strange one IMO.

Strange as I'd hope we sign better players than him.

Seems an incredibly strange signing. He was absolutely useless for us and we were pre warned by the Bradford and Fleetwood fans that would be the case

Doing well in Scotland probably isn’t much of a guide either .
