Few positives to take out of what's going on the pitch, but our support are absolutely first class once again
Well it's a clean sheet so far he has the midfield three spot on with finally Mangala in the side, everything else has been expected apart from Brennan looking alot more up for it we will go on to concede 2 or 3 once they find the breakthrough
Watching shit teams park 11 men behind the ball and us fail to break them down is penance for how shit we used to play under Hughton, we’re cursed.
There was no positives in the first half but that second half you know I saw a few things to work with. There was alot more energy, and a very slight threat at least going forward. An excellent defensive performance, people's eyebrows have been raised by his constant inclusion in the starting XI but I think Cookie's being done a right solid job since the Villa game. Overall I'm proud of the boys for showing some fight, that's all I ask.
So predictable. Not going to lament luck with the finishing as this has being going on for 3 years now, the players just aren’t good enough to break down a low block 9 times out of 10. As for Forest, have to ask what it is the point? Fans make a racket but surely even with the prem fun factor back, playing like that is surely going to become very quickly tiresome. We weren't playing that way up to the Leicester game. Unfortunately we were shipping goals left, right and center. Coops is trying to build a platform and tighten up dramatically and it is has worked to an extent, conceding only 2 goals in 3 matches. We probably need to set up in the same way to hopefully only got beat by 2 or 3 against Liverpool and Arsenal but then need to show something in an attacking sense in the last two home games before the break as we need to find a win to stand any chance at all.
Don’t think there is much point tbh - hard to imagine us ever scoring playing like that. The alternative is getting gubbed 4 to 6-0 tho so I can’t complain, we just don’t have good enough players in critical areas to compete with Premier League teams really. Pleased with a point in a dull game - halfway to 12!
Kind of amazing this can be true given the recruitment in the summer. I think there’s more than enough talent in that squad, but I think Cooper is really struggling to get any kind of cohesion out of it, which as we all said in the summer was inevitable.
I don't know how much money Welbeck is on , im guessing 40k - 50k a week ,but god he is awful , he should hand most of it back to the club. does Tossard know i put him in my " Dream team " after his hatrick at Liverpool . Forest with NO shots on target and Brighton couldn't his a barn door with a banjo it was a tough game to watch last night. great support from Forest fans, come across loud and clear on the TV.
You may be right… but I find it hard to believe having been to every game so far but the West Ham game (typically). We neither have players in defence/CM with enough quality to pass it out through a press, or a target man & the ability to play long. It leads to us being unable to transition when winning the ball back & means we just defend for 85 of 90 minutes every match wave after wave of attacks. Cohesion is part of it - and we obviously lack some of the important link ups from last season. But I think the reality os we started from such a low base in the summer (our squad without the loan players was really a bottom half (at best) championship team) - that the investment has turned us into a top 6 Championship side but miles off the quality of the rest of the league (we still only have a more expensive squad than Bournemouth & our squad is worth less than half of the majority of the league). Happy to just enjoy the ride regardless - can’t complain after looking doomed to League One under Hughton!
