Julien Lopetegui is the preferred choice apparently can't imagine he'd want to leave Sevilla for Wolves though.
I think Lopetegui would be a decent appointment. He's got a decent pedigree and I think he would get a lot more out of the squad (not that it would be hard) than Lage. A side that's in the bottom 3 and won once in 15 or whatever it is can't exactly be too picky - I very much doubt we'd be able to tempt Amorim away during the season even if we were inclined to pay his £30m buyout clause. Not sure about this. Small sample size but Spain didn't lose a game while he was in charge, and then he has finished in the Champions League places in La Liga the last 2 seasons with Sevilla and also won a Europa League with them. Don't think any of that is a small feat for them.
I don’t think he’s awful, certainly a lot better than Lage but I don’t think they are massive achievements. Sevilla should really be finishing in the champions league spots and they are notoriously good in the Europa league
Not sacking the clown when it was blindingly obvious that he was poison in May is coming home to roost, big time. We are an absolute shambles.
Forest, Palace, Leicester & Brentford up next. Hope this managerial search doesn't go on for too long as there are opportunities to pick up much needed points in that run and Chelsea away showed us that Davis & Collins don't really know how to set up a team at this level. Rob Edwards interviewed. I know he played for you and probably a decent coach dumped by us harshly but would be a big risk surely ?
It's only just registered with me he's the same Rob Edwards who played for us on loan from Villa in 2003. Fair to say he's bulked up a bit since then.
