Really? They went on a bit of a downer and didn't look like a change in fortunes was forthcoming. However, he's got History and no doubt he'll be saying unfinished Business.
We had a bad season during covid but we were still 13th and miles clear of any real danger. I always thought (and still do) that he had more than enough credit in the bank not to get sacked on the back of that season after what he'd done before.
I must be getting mixed up with his Spurs spell. For some reason I thought Wolves were nearer to the relegation zone.
A lot was made of our drop off in that season but it wasn't as bad as it was made out really. The fact that we were boring to watch during that time probably made it seem worse than it was. There were a lot of mitigating factors as well, we'd just come off a mammoth season where we played near enough 60 games including trips to Turkey, Armenia, Spain, Italy, Portugal, Slovenia etc, Covid season with no fans, no real pre-season to speak of, tried to change formation to 4 at the back (the right thought but we didn't really have the right personel at the time), the recruitment that summer was horrible and then we had an injury crisis including the head injury to Raúl which had a massive effect on the squad. We also lost at home to Albion which is always hard to take. I'd have Nuno back in a heartbeat. I absolutely love him, he's a quality manager and a top man. Not all Wolves fans will agree with me though. Another candidate is apparently Michael Beale. Gerrard's former assistant at Rangers & Villa, now the QPR manager. Highly thought of but would be a big risk. Sent from my Pixel 4a (5G) using Tapatalk
