Brook too earned the big bucks, though Stokes at CSK is the big news for me. Dhoni's final IPL and with Stokes in the side, makes them the favourites.

On a side note, we almost made a meal of that second test match against Bangladesh, chasing a small total. Ashwin to the rescue with the bat. Deserved MOTM for him.

Just had a look at the scorecard, Virat scored one run off 22 balls at a strike rate of 4.54!! Was he trying to bore them to death?

    @Panja
It was a torture to watch, especially when Axar on the other end looked better. Hope Rohit comes back against the Aussies at home, or it will be a struggle for us.

    Ouch.

    Thankfully he seems ok.

See Warner had to retire hurt after celebrating his 200!

Whinger Warner was out first ball on his return which would have been the admission fee paid for there and then.

Australia declare with a lead of 386. It could be over tonight after the Saffers spent a day and a half in the Melbourne heat..

Aussies complete another easy win for a first win at home to South Africa in 16 years apparently.

Just a shit show from the Saffers. Poor batting, especially from Elgar who has now been strangled down the leg side three times out of four, and a tail that starts when they’re four down. Australia just won this this test with two strike bowlers who were injured and still SA couldn’t put up a decent fight..

Thankfully he is out of danger. Has an injury to his forehead, back and knee. Lucky when you look at the state of his car.
    Hope he recovers soon.

Pakistan v New Zealand peters out into a draw, even though the Kiwis had them on the ropes at 100-4 and then being offered to chase 134 to win off 15 overs or so. It looked like a challenging declaration by Babar until you factor in the fact that he knew bad light would prevent those fifteen overs from being bowled once he brought the quicks on in fading light. They may have test cricket to watch at home but they haven't worked out how to win yet..

I mean, it's out, but should it be?

Bit of bad blood spilled over between the two Melbourne teams last night when Adam Zampa did a ‘Mankad’ in an attempt to remove the last batsman of the Renegades innings. The move was ruled not out as Zampa’s arm was deemed to be past vertical but the Stars coach David Hussey said afterwards that they would have reversed the decision anyway. He’s obviously bullshitting because it went to the third umpire for about five minutes.
    Not great

Steve Smith hits yet another ton, taking his tally passed the Don on 30 centuries in 92 tests at an incredible average of a smudge under 61.

    I hate him.

It really hasn't. The third day basbeenlist to rain and the Saffers haven't batted yet you'd still put money on the Aussies forcing a result..

South Africa survive the last day thanks to some rare resistance and the Aussies missing out in quite a few DRS calls.

I actually almost felt sorry for Smith, he caught what looked like two legitimate catches only for them to be turned down on review. If only cricketers were honest, you could take their word for it that they caught it but they're not so you can't..

Superb return to cricket by Jofra, taking 3-27 on his return (after what feels like a lifetime and then some). At one point he was on a hattrick, bowling at 90mph. It's good to have him back. Ben is chuffed too..
