Ian Foster has named a 21 man squad to fly out to Argentina to compete in the Under 20 World Cup with the 1st of 3 group games starting on May 22nd v Tunisia 25th v Uruguay & lastly v Iraq on the 28th . Not sure if any matches will be on TV or Sky etc... but 16 of the 21 man squad chosen Won the Under 19's World Cup last year & the star of the show last year Carney Chukwuemeka who bagged himself a £20 million move from Villa to Chelsea & 3 players who've been playing their trade at League 1 level , Ronnie Edwards ( Posh ) Jarrell Quansha ( B.Rovers / loan from Liverpool ) & Dale Scarlett ( Pompey / loan from Spurs ) have also been included , who'll catch the eye in this tournament & fingers crossed they can win it .
England v Tunisia Live on fifaplus.com from 7 o'clock where most of the Under 20 matches are being shown . England's squad looks a bit threadbare until any involved in Premier League & or play off matches finish off their club football . Good luck to the lads anyway .
England won 1-0. France beaten by South Korea although never know what of teams are being fielded as you say.
Pick of the games so far has been Italy 3 Brazil 2 ,with the Italians going three up in the first half and then Brazil dominating proceedings in the second but only able to pull two back. Great game. I'm watching Italy v Nigeria 0-0 at the minute. Japan v Colombia and Brazil v Dominican Republic are on later at 10 pm. Looking forward to England v Uruguay tomorrow. Nigeria 1 Italy 0 Diving header from Lawal, 2-0 to Nigeria Sunday with a nicely taken goal on the break.
Uruguay v England. 19:00 Looking forward to see how the likes of Liverpool's Quansah ,Brentfords Oyegoke and Leeds Utd's Gyabi ,who have all impressed fare against one of the better teams in this tournament.
2 of the players you mentioned were plying their trade in Division 1 season just gone . Shame England aren't full strength & in Uruguay's last 12 matches they've won 10 drew 1 & only loss came against Brazil . Match is live on fifaplus.com & good luck to the lads .
I've been watching on Fox Sports who hold the exclusive rights ,is Fifaplus free to view ? I've watched some highlights on there ,but I wasnt aware you could watch the matches live.
Yeah , it's free , I can watch via my phone but at 4.5inches does my eyes in , fifaplus is also ( I think ) an app you get get on a smart TV .
Ah cool , I'll be watching Man U v Chelsea at 8 , I'll be bugging you to ask how Posh's Ronnie Edwards has played
1-0 Humphreys lovely header. 2-0 Devine nice assist for Joseph @NotsoPosh Good first half for Edwards ,looks a solid defender Uruguay pull one back 2-1. All Uruguay now ,England under the cosh Brilliant goal from Gyabi to wrap it up at 3-1 Uruguay grabbing a late 2nd ,finishes 3-2 to England and two wins from 2
Good 3 points with only 3/4 of a team . Cheers @Redpelt , don't think we'll see Ronnie in a Posh shirt ever again & playing with players in this squad from Premier League & Championship will benefit him as will summer move to bigger club . Well done to Gambia beating France & with a missed penalty .
Fiji probably wish the ref hadn’t played so much injury time . 7-0 was bad enough! https://www.flashscore.com/match/zN6pavjf/#/match-summary/match-summary
Argentina look well set for the future with some of the talent on show here , 2-0 up in the first 16 mins and Romero looks a sensational little player ,but it's not just him every player in the blue of Argentina looks technically superior to any team in this competition, the speed of the first time passing is relentless. Mascherano really has his young charges playing some wonderful one touch football. Jesus ,what a goal from Romero ,spins his player and hits an unstoppable strike from 25 yards straight into the top corner ,wonderful goal and the comparisons with Messi certainly wont end here. 3-0 Argentina. Redondo and Miramon in the middle should have scouts all over them ,so too Aguirre and Infantino and the technically blessed Romero. Exceptional first half performance from the Argies. Penalty for Argentina 4-0 ,it doesn't get any easier for NZ here ,Argentina have just brought a player on that clubs like Madrid ,Juventus and Man City are prepared to battle for. Valentin Barco and he looks like a mini De Bruyne ,complete with Ginger locks and outrageous passes and he's a LB. Hope Liverpool have sent a few scouts here ,it would save the club a f*cking fortune Barco pulling off no look passes now ,looks a little maestro out there. Maybe more Scholes than De Bruyne ,tw@t cant tackle either. 5-0 beautiful cross from Perone and a bullet header from Veliz ,this team looks phenomenal ,never seen a better young team than this for years. Exhibition stuff there ,top performance.

England's 3rd group match v Iraq in 30 mins & looks like a larger squad to pick from albeit surprised to see Norton-Cuffy on the bench considering he was playing at Wembley yesterday afternoon . I imagine an easy night for England with Iraq failing to score in their previous 2 games & have conceded 7 to boot .
England missed an early penalty in a 0-0 draw . Came top of the group but got to play Italy who came 2nd in their section to Brazil so either way was always going to be a tough one if we won ours ! Might have been better finishing second? Got to play the best at some point in reality though.
