Just seen on Sky Sports News, that the FA have requested Wolves to explain their decision of the 10 changes at Old Trafford last night. I don't understand what it's got to do with the FA? Surely as manager it's McCarthy's decision to field whichever team he wishes, whether it's an un-changed squad from a win at Tottenham or a completely changed side as was the case?
Fergie's sending some cake to the Wolves training ground as a thank you as well. It's the sponge cake with the lovely strawberry in the middle, topped with them hundreds and thousands..
why the furore over this. mcCarthy is the manager- its his decision. a full strength side wolves would have 95% lost the game anyway. i dont see anyone holding the big 4 to account. what about when liverpool lost to fulham a few years ago. or when man utd fielded a weakened team against wet spam & sheff utd were RELEGATED!!!!! double standards again from the FA
I heard something on talksport this morning about a part of the law states you have to field your strongest side avaliable. I think the reason there questioning them is because there was 10 rather than 3 or 4 changes and he cant state that he played his strongest team/ anywhere near or he wanted to make changes due to poor performance, as they'd won 1-0 at spurs. However, nothing will happen to wolves obviously true FA style.
his reply " ask the top 4 why the "ROTATE" with impunity yet I have to explain my selections " I used to think it was wrong , but funnily enough it was Ritchie who argued brilliantly for it 2 seasons back that changed my mind hes 100% behind it mick macarthy obviously fielded the strongest team available as he rotated his squad
Listen. Should I have sympathy for my fellow Wulfs who travelled, I don't know maybe a percentage of them that are just asking a simple question. But if you checked Wolves forums it's gone way above asking just a simple question to a verbal tirade and I've even seen death threats for ffs (tongue in cheek abviously but still over the top reactions and pathetic on those that have done it) I didnt like what McCarthy put out last night, would my reaction have been different if I had travelled maybe but again I would have been in that percentage just asking that question. Some of ower fans are pathetic anyway, most think they have the divine right to abuse a fellow human being for doing a job he thinks is correct. Most of this seasons Wulfs have only had season tickets and gone away just because there spunking over the fact that there going to Old Trafford, Anfield, Emirates, Stamford Bridge. There lucky they never saw the dark days in the 1980's. Some make me fookin puke with there glorified over reactions..
You're joking arent ya. The FA wil butt fook us all the way back up the M6. A massive fine will come ower way no doubt.
All i've argued against with McCarthy is he picked a team to lose the game. He waved the white flag before the match and cheated the Wolves fans who spent alot of money a week before Christmas, in the hope they might get a result but they didn't even give it a go. But i'm saying nothing else about it.
we did when liverpool sent out a shameful selection at fulham and man utd sent out the reserves last match against west ham were either asked to explain why they fielded weak side , err no so why should wolves
No team as ever been so blatant in Fielding a weakened team than Wolves, all McCarthy as done is shown there is a two-tier system in the Prem, what happens if all the lower clubs do the same? the FA need to put a stop to this quick! Otherwise the top 6 top mights well start up a Super European league!
I remember you defending your team selection at fulham , that gave them 3 points the season we went down , 2 points behind fulham not saying fulham might not have won anyway but would man utd have won anyway you gave lots of reasons why it was ok for liverpool to make a "different" selection in other words , it only affected other clubs , those at the bottom so wolves hand a top 4 side 3 points now it matters very gracious of you
Fair enough.I hope Wolves don't complain when other teams who go far in cup competitions field weakened sides against their relegation rivals....
