they were all over us at the start. their strikers link up really well and that Louis Saha is gonna be in the french national squad real soon, i'd say. We had the best chances, but they had quite a few more.

like reid said, its always hard to play against a newly promoted squad on their first home match. we had the same problem last season against man city and ipswich. they had something to prove and they proved it lol.

the match itself was great entertainment, fast end to end football. After we got into the game, I felt we stood a great chance of winning the game. sorenson made a passing mistake, which i forgive him for coz he's a GREAT keeper and the second goal was a cruel deflection off George McCartney. Our chances were better and their two goals were slighty lucky , but i'd still say they deserved the win.

if they play like this all season, they're gonna do great, but can they?

Laslandes overhead kick effort was superb, Haas does well going forward and Phillips could have had a couple.

But Saha's pace is electric and Malbranque looks a great link up player in the middle of the park for Fulham. They are going to do better than I expected!

As a Brentford fan, hard for me to admit it, but I don't think Fulham will go down this season (as much as I'd want them to!!!). They may have a lot of class players, but it will be time before they are challenging for anything - but if I was Tiganarse, I'd be looking to the Wortho this season. The players will need time to adjust to the Division - look how Saha and Boa Morte didn't exacltly set the Premiership alight with Newcaslte and Arsenal. Tigana is inexperienced in terms of English football, and all those French signings could backfire - what happens if they all sod off cos of the crappy November weather and having to play cup ties freezing their bollocks off in January against Wrexham?

I'll probably drag myself down to Sunderland to see Fulham up there this season - I wonder how many of their fans will see the symbolsim of the red'n'white stripes tho'???
