Just watched last week's recorded Scottish Prem highlights & in the Motherwell v Hibs match the Well fans in Block E put up a banner saying " POLICE SCOTLAND RUINING PEOPLES LIVES " what's that all about then ?
Not happy that the police want to ban anti-social behaviour and offensive chanting at football matches. https://www.heraldscotland.com/news/13876625.fans-launch-police-crime-scene-tape-protest-fir-park/ Think the point is no-one else in society has been subjected to such laws.
That's an old link from years ago. The current one is to do with a Kilmarnock pub being trashed by Motherwell fans and innocent people who weren't even there had there doors chapped by the police in the days afterwards.
Finished 1-0, biggest upset ever in the Scottish Cup surely, even surpassing Berwick v Rangers in 1967.
Probably, although Hearts stuck by Robbie Neilson after their debacle at Brora a couple of seasons ago and he hasn't looked back since.
There’s been a lot of debate on the Pie and Bovril forum about this. Darvel are in a bit of a false position as their chairman has funded the club so that they can afford to have several players with SFL experience in their squad. The whole spectacle was very funny though. Aberdeen were woeful throughout and never ever threatened to overwhelm Darvel. Darvel played the better football and the last five minutes of the match was spent in the Aberdeen half.
Yes are they a very mini Wrexham in that they have good investment but then you wouldn’t expect Wrexham to beat a Premier league team would you ?
No, but Aberdeen are not going to be as clinical and have as much quality as a PL team, they’re lower-half L1 standard and Darvel are IMO non-league Step 2/3 standard. Don’t get me wrong, it is still a massive shock. Is it bigger than Fraserburgh’s defeat of Dundee in 1959 (when Dundee were good) or the infamous Berwick Rangers victory over Rangers?
How so? For example, Kirkpatrick, the goal scorer was signed by Jim Goodwin when he was Alloa manager and played for the Wasps in their first season in the Scottish Championship after Goodwin guided them to promotion.
Forty years after Gothenburg, not one of those players would have got a job selling pies at Pittodrie during the Fergie era.
Similar situation to Everton, the owners aren't going to sack themselves, so the manager will carry the can.
