United won the Treble, which has been done *checks notes* not once since despite the best teams in football history contesting the league the last 5 years :)

Probably my favourite year on earth TBF.

I was going into my final year of high school, house parties galore, American Pie, Britney Spears, dial-up internet porn. What a time to be alive.

The Euro was introduced, The Sopranos first aired, Glenn Hoddle was sacked as England manager for saying in an interview with The Times that people born with disabilities are paying for sins in a previous life, Rod Hull died after falling off his roof trying to fix his TV aerial, the minimum wage of £3.60/hour was introduced in the UK, and Alex Ferguson was knighted.

There was this song called ‘two times’ or something I used to listen to on repeat. Also ‘Better off alone’ by Alice Deejay. Both remind of a holiday that year.

Oh and it’s the year Westlife released their first single .. I was such a fan.

Charlie Bronson had already spent 24 years in prison.

    He's still in prison today.

Probably be out now if he hadn't been a tit in prison though. Must hold some record for being the longest person in prison without having murdered someone.

Although I'm surprised he never made an appearance given how inseparable they were ,he was probably to busy watching a compilation of all the talk show hosts he goosed.

Mitsubishi wasn't just a brand of car, the Y2K bug was all the rage, football was still fun and you could buy a pint for £2 in most places outside of London.
