Good move for both parties. He's now guaranteed more time on the pitch.

He had a shaky start to his City career but looked useful as time went on. Seemed to be a popular character in the dressing room.

I wish him the best of luck at Zenit.

Always liked Javi, but I suppose a 'solid' player isn't good enough for a Premier League title contending side, good luck to him!

    Welcome!

Ultimately yes, not good enough for us. Glad I won't be seeing him filling in at CB anymore, that was terrifying!

I am shocked we got rid of him tbh. From what I have heard he has a lot of potential and could have been a great homegrown player for us.

THE F*CK. I can't believe we got rid of him on a permanent, I have only just found out. The club keeps saying there is plans for these homegrown players but as of yet I have seen nothing in the way of giving them a chance.

Me too. Happy for Richards, but letting Negredo and Huws go is stupid.

Guys wondered if you could help me out. You know you can get those plaques in the players tunnel of the Etihad with personalized messages on them? Do you guys have any idea how much one of those cost? I don't want to buy one, just trying to settle a little feud.

So, what are our thoughts on Wilfred Bony?

Decent buy imo,I know we,ve done ok even with Aguero out but we still need a striker when Dzekos out too and Jovetic doesn't seem to be the one. It'll be interesting to see how MP manages things though. Will he play 2 upfront or rotate(very doubtful when Aguero's the other main man). Still think Dzeko should have a say in the matter but I cant see him being at City past next season which will be a shame. Bony does seem to have a bit more skill about him though.

I am certainly looking forward to see what he can do for us, got a good feeling abot him.
Anyone think he should start against Newcastle?

Right, its summer time! Lets try and get this ball rolling. Be nice to get away from the Premier league transfer rumours thread.

Who does everyone think we should sign? Who needs to go?

Haven't been too many concrete rumours tbh. Sterling keeps propping up, would be happy if he signed, he is a good player and would be a better option than Jesus Navas. Saw Isco being linked the other day, would be a fantastic signing! Looking forward to seeing a few youngsters coming through next year too.

Isco because he was with Peligrini at Malaga makes sense. I could see De Bryune move to City. Seems set to move to a bigger club as he put it and I think your club makes the most sense for him if he's to return to England.

Just testing the water I think, to see where they stand Would have been surprised to see Liverpool accept at £30m. Woudln't want him for more than £40m.

Would be happy with De Bruyne just a bit weary after a indifferent time at Chelsea. I'm guessing he has matured a wee bit as a player, haven't seen him play since.

For out-goings would say that Dzeko, Nasri, Navas, Fernando and possibly Sagna could be moved on.

Personally would be sad to see Nasri go but not sure Pellegrini believes in him anymore.. And I know he splits opinion but I would pay the taxi fare to see the back of Dzeko...

As for in-comings of the three main ones we have been linked with Sterling, Pogba and De Bruyne I think the only one we might get is De Bruyne. Pogba will end up in Spain and Liverpool will play hard ball over Sterling.

My main worry is who we are being linked with if we do not get the above three. The likes of Delph and Wiltshire are simply not good enough for a team with aspirations of doing well in Europe.

It may seem harsh but would Real, Barca or Bayern seriously be looking at Delph.... No they would not... I hope I am wrong but I worry it could be a frustrating summer and I am starting to lose faith in our spanish negotiating team...

Hopefully I will be proved wrong but this is transfer window is extremely important and they need to deliver...

I think we'll end up with Sterling, and I'd be happy with that. I expect we'll pay up to £45m, but you can't blame Liverpool for milking us for every penny.

The lad has serious potential, and that price could prove worthwhile in the end.
