It's a large crowd and there are always some knobheads in a large crowd who will sing silly songs.

And Liverpool never sing about United when United fans aren't present? I agree with you its a silly thing to sing - makes me cringe even when we play you.

But ultimately good luck to all the lads who turned out again, a few daft songs will always happen but the point should not be missed. Fact is if some trendy european club stormed a training ground or got the biggest game of the season postponed, everyone would be saying how good is that.

    Anyway, hopefully it continues.

I know the Fernandes playacting has been covered but did you hear him screaming like if he was being murdered in the 64th minute? The sounds coming from him had me genuinely concerned I thought he was gonna need emergency surgery to reattach a limb or something then 10 seconds later he was alright . What was that about? Why are a lot of modern day footballers such fannies? Don't they find themselves embarrassing??

The thing is though, that is probably (likely) no longer the Citeh front line. Only Mahrez out of those 4 has been getting regular time in the big matches whilst all have been fit. They’ve changed to a front 4/2 switching up in games. Foden, Silva, De Bruyne and Mahrez have been selected over the others. So like you say their midfielders get more goals, and that’s been the case in the past also, but this season their midfield is their front line. They’re not separate entities like just about every other club.
I agree somewhat that some of your players individually are better, but I don’t think there’s a direct comparison like there is usually as the system employed by Pep changes the definition of the roles. I think Jota would really thrive in that kind of system where he can play wide, through the middle, drop back into the midfield, then as a striker. Players who play more traditionally defined roles probably struggle doing that. I think in your system Firmino can be replaced with one of the Citeh players, despite a brace last night and little glimpses like his assist for Salah vs us, he’s been off it for a long time. I’d be curious to see if/how Pep would change things if he had Salah and/or Mané. Wether he’d go back to a more defined front line or make them play the current system.

I was glad to see the character in the side seems to be returning even with our first 'three' captains all out. 9 players out, hopefully a few of those with more minor knocks will be available during next week for rotation more than anything, with 4 games in 11 days.

Still amused at Anthony Taylor just completely shitting out of a decision because he knew it'd mean having to send McTominay off seconds after his first yellow for his rugby tackle on Mane. The refs in this country are comedically bad.

United set the sll time clean sheet record with a makeshift defence because Vidic and VDS were able to play every minute. Having Virgil and Alisson in the defence I imagine would allow you to play the kids and still be fine, as the other two can carry them through the games.

Yeah that's fair Thiago was doing a bit of gamesmanship at times nothing wrong with it if it's for your team though
