Boro fans looking for us to do them a favour again today I think :D

We don’t have the best of records against Luton. I’m expecting a draw at best this afternoon.

tbf all this talk about other clubs doing us a favour is starting to wind me up a little now we just need to carry on doing our thing and what will be it'll be, we have been on a massive upwards curve since Carrick came in with no real blips so for us to carry on would be fantastic but i will be happy to take one game at a time.

The amount of money we've spent in the last two years to regress this badly is hilarious.

back to the same old Preston today after a couple of good results lately, haven't looked like scoring and the defending has been awful, still time for another couple of Boro goals here
Why has Lowe changed the system today after back to back wins?

Well, that was rubbish. At least the teams around us dropped points also.

I would have taken a point before the game but having watched the game feels like 2 points dropped. We should have won that.

Too slow and trying to pass the ball in.

No quick play or attempting to get shots at goal.

Credit to Wigan - defend well and dangerous on the break .

After we dropped points midweek, finally the teams above us drop points. I thought it was over midweek (and it's still a pipedream) but we've taken 19 points from 27, if we can keep that up. Who knows?

We definitely had the tub of the green today. We could have been 2-1 down with 9 men. After the initial pressure, we never looked back though.

I hope the Rotherham ground staff get a good night’s sleep tonight after their exhaustive efforts to get the game back on today.

We have 3 full time ground staff, the pitch is 6732 square metres, that's 2244 each with a 2m squeegee and a brush.
Admittedly, they look less than invested, but they had no chance TBF.

It's rough on Cardiff who were certainly the best team in the first half but there was still 42 minutes plus stoppage time to go.

But it's not unheard of for teams to have a better second half and it's not like it was 3 0 or anything so, unfortunate though it is that the game was abandoned, I'm not sure that we can control a monsoon downpour, the like of which I have never witnessed at a football match in my lifetime.

It's also possible we will be even worse in the replayed game but I do feel for the fans that made the trip and I can totally understand their frustration.
However there was no need to lob a lump of concrete like one idiot did, it landed about 5 metres to my right, got to say I felt like lobbing it back but I probably would have been arrested because the coppers were mainly on our side of the fence.

Well presumably you can control not putting the sprinklers on at half-time only for the game to be abandoned after 47 minutes due to a waterlogged pitch.

I agree the game wasn’t over btw and definitely no need to lob concrete around.

    Thank you.

The sprinklers usually go on at half time in every game but the flooded part of the ground is at the opposite end anyway.

I believe automated sprinklers can be cancelled if there’s heavy rain. Anyway, what about the videos of the ground staff being applauded off the pitch by the coaching staff and players for their quite patently meagre efforts? All completely normal .

It did piss down mind but all a bit mysterious. It seems the EFL are looking into it. On we go.

I think today was a fair result on reflection. Luton didn’t exactly impress me but certainly played to their strengths. They deservedly took the lead not long after HT as we didn’t start well, but we came back in to it and equalised through the penalty.

I haven’t seen it back yet, but from where I was in the ground it did look soft. People I’ve spoken with who have seen it back have said we would have been fuming had it been given against us.

You can see we are really struggling without a striker at the moment. Gelhardt tries his best but he really hinders us with the way we play unfortunately.
