It's a win/win for BVB tbh. If they do sell they make a fortune, if they don't they will still rake it in in 2024.
I’m talking in the last 5 years. There’s been more flops then successes when it comes to attacking players.
So past Haaland what other attackers have you guys exactly bought from the Bundesliga in the last 5 years?
Sane (6 years) KDB (7) and Gundogen (6) (Gundogen not attacking player I admit) think majority of Great ones get swallowed up by Bayern.
I think you’re confused. All 3 of those are greater than 5 years ago… We still had Diego Costa up top in your timeframe! it’s completely irrelevant comparing players from so long ago.
It’s definitely not in the last 5 years still. Seems like you’re just challenging a fact for the sake of it. If you don’t think there’s enough evidence for clubs to be wary of signing from the Bundesliga and investing millions of pounds on players where the recent high money transfers have not done well then that’s on you. It’s not saying all Bundesliga players will 100% flop. It’s just something any sensible club would keep in mind. Really don’t understand the needless challenge but it just makes yourself look silly.
Tbh I am moreso questioning the quality of our coaching vs the quality of the attacking players we bring in. An absolute graveyard for attackers. We haven't really seen free flowing football from the entire attack since the first half of the 2014/15 Mourinho season.
We’re watching different teams if you think Pulisic and Ziyech are good enough for a top 6 PL team. I think even with Werner it became obvious he wasn’t best suited to the league. The talent in the final third has been missing for a long time.
I'm under the opinion there is no platform currently at the club for any attacker to succeed. Pulisic was a highly rated prospect that hasn't improved since he's been here. Ziyech was a very influential player for Ajax yet has only been a moments player at best here. I think all of our attackers are playing far worse than they actually are. The Premier League is definitely a different beast compared to other leagues, but looking at our success rate with regards to attacking players I find it difficult to believe poor recruitment is the sole reason. Whether they were young promising players or experienced ones. We've bought attackers from every league and not one bar Hazard succeeded here. You have to look all the way back to Mata as the last attacker that genuinely improved us. I don't know. Maybe we are trying to fix certain areas immediately when in all reality something needs to be properly in place so that attackers can come and actually succeed. I'm incredibly annoyed as I am pretty certain Nkunku will be a failure.
