Chelsea going big this summer gotta expect a title chase if they get their rumoured targets.

I think so too. Tuchel seemed to like him there and he also has the right attributes to step up into midfield like we see Azpilicueta and Rudiger do.

Hakimi can also play LWB so gives up a few rotation options too.

Far eastern betting company used some questionable social media marketing material. Worst (or should I say wurst) was a video of some girls seeing how far down a hotdog they could bite in one go. Basically primetime Japanese tv but obviously not good for whiter than white Norwich.

Funnily enough I've always considered the 'family, community club' lines we roll out here as something people say when things are going well or to feel superior to money clubs but apparently people do feel that way about the club. I've been to a lot of grounds over the last 20 years and have't seen many that aren't family clubs but apparently that is not the case. lol

Don’t worry about us. We should be challenging next season, we’re the Champions of Europe right now.

19 points is still a huge gap to close so I’m not sure we’re ready to actually win the league (especially with all the extra fixtures from the Club World Cup to fit in too) but we should be challenging a lot more then we did last season.

I’m looking forward to hearing the excuses from your lot next season though. It’s been quite the fall from grace so far!

Much like in the youth team set up with Lamptey at RWB.

You have to love silly season. Seems we’re keen to sign one of Haaland, Kane or Lukaku and you can guarantee it will be Lukkau () if it’s any of them.

Excuses for what? Every Liverpool fan expects the club to challenge for the title and the Champions League again.

Thanks for providing some readymade excuses though, it did make me chuckle.

Liverpool went and won the league with ease after winning the Champions League, despite all the extra fixtures. And didn't even sign anybody to do it either x

I’m talking about the excuses for when you don’t challenge for either again.

The competition is already starting to build up again. Can Klopp rebuild the team or is the Dortmund-esque collapse inevitable?

I expect them to challenge for the league again so I'm not arsed.

If they don't then that is failure on their part and questions will need to be asked. Not in the business of making excuses for events, especially one that may not even happen!

    You do you, though.

“Not in the business for making excuses…”

What happened to “But VVD was injured” last season?

Get your head out your ass mate. Unless that’s “you doing you”

    Excuse me?

I never used the injuries as an excuse? It was an obstacle, and in the end it was one I would charge the manager with struggling to overcome.

    For example:

Looks like we’re going all out for Kane if Haaland move breaks down! I expected us to have a quiet summer after last year, but nope, we’re after the very best. Love the ambition.

If we actually pull it off we’re going to be bloody scary.

Liverpool fans get slated for winging about injuries so MrE does an end of season post (which he quotes himself the second he gets a chance) to smugly try and show himself to be better than the other fans that make excuses.

You still go on to say “we would have done this if the manager done this” which is an excuse! It’s brilliant. You do you mate. Keep it up. I just wish there were more posters who viewed themselves as highly as you clearly view yourself.

Calm down Gal. All I said was the blame for Liverpool's struggles this season sit primarily with the manager... Why you feel the need to inject some melodrama into this I do not know. I only quoted myself because you are talking nonsense about me.

I made a post that I anticipate some excuses as to why Chelsea can't/won't/didn't challenge for the title and hey presto... You provided some within 15 minutes.

So thanks for proving my point, honey.

What excuses? Virtually every one of us stated Lampard's goal was to achieve Top 4 comfortably and a trophy. He was rightfully sacked when it appeared he wouldn't accomplish either. Unless you expected us to challenge for the title last season, which of course would've been preposterous and even your own manager expressed the difficulty of challenging with a team that consisted of 80% new players.

Haaland, Rice/Touchemani, and Hakimi come in, I promise you you'd be hard done by to find a Chelsea fan thinking we shouldn't be challenging.
