Idk if Lage would be accepted today there, he's a championship level manager at best for now, he has potential, Benfica is not an easy place to work at.

Another big 3 points tonight! I believe this is the first time we’ve gone 30 games unbeaten. Jovane made a massive difference when he came on, very impressive from him today.

We need 7 more points from 12 available to seal the title. For once I’m actually routing for Benfica midweek, if they can get something then we could be looking at only needing 4 or 5 more points to clinch it!!

Just looked at the fixtures. Real possibility that you could win it away at Benfica...

I tuned in for it actually and was surprised how different we looked after being 2-0 down! A great day for Sporting clube de Portugal

Funny little anecdote coming out of the Braga camp. Feddal posted something on Instagram saying about he we were ‘almost there’ with winning the league, Sporar commented on it and Braga have fined him  I’m sure he won’t mind when he collects his winners medal

Done deal for Sporting tonight, I hope Benfica can seal Porto's fate tomorrow, and well, at least getting the 2nd place and the Cup.

    What a hit by Paulinho!

31 games unbeaten and 4 points to go. Amazing season.

Brilliant performance last night, battered them in the first half and good to see Paulinho grab himself a goal.

It’s so close I can almost feel it!! Hoping for a Benfica result tonight. Anything other than a Porto win and we can put the champagne on ice

Aye should've been 5 or 6 nil last night really.

Looking forward to O Clássico tonight, although I can't see it being a classic.

:eeek:eeek It’s actually happening isn’t it ?! One win and it’s officially ours

What a season. I can’t believe its actually almost over. I was just 11 the last time we won and it’s been such a long road. I’m so proud of this team and the attitude that Amorim has instilled into them

I’ve got to try and contain myself until Tuesday now

Sporting winning the title after 19 years and James Coppinger retiring after 17 years with Rovers in the same year that I have my first child.. I think there may be a few tears on the way this weekend:laugh:

Can't believe it was that long since Sporting last won! Doesn't seem that long ago anyway but obviously is. Hope you can see it over the line and add it to all the other great things going on in your life this year :).

I know at times it doesn’t feel that long ago but most of the time it feels like a million years ago!

Thanks mate, I think I’m going to have to break my streak of not getting drunk for 10 months:laugh:

Typical Portuguese , over emotional

It'd be nice to remain unbeaten in the last 3 games , I don't know the word for ' the invincibles ' in Portuguese , I'll definitely be having some banter with couple of the Porto fans at work in the next couple of hours .

Fergie's hinted guard of honour for Copps before the game & congratulations on the baby , get saving , it's gonna cost you .

Looks like João Moutinho might be heading back to Porto next season.

I'd be absolutely devastated to see him leave, he's probably tied with Raúl as the best player I've ever seen at Wolves. Especially seeing as we wouldn't be able to give him a proper send off.

We've asked a hell of a lot from him the past 3 seasons though with our crazy journey last season, no pre season and then this weird Covid season this time around. I can see why he'd want to go and finish off his career at Porto in a league that's going to be a bit less demanding of him at 35 years old.
