Could potentially be more train drivers strikes on the weekend of the 1st October.

So we (Palace) could potentially have had no games for five weeks. :zzz

Same media (football London) reporting that Arsenal v Spurs could be off due to those train strikes too.

    Absolute pisstake if this happens.

Means we wouldn't have had a home game from 30th August to 9th October!!

Why are the clubs/authorities suddenly scared shitless of train strikes? They've been happening for decades and most have still found a way to get to the games. Pathetic if this becomes the norm.

Another season where the calendar is a shitshow, pretty wild how easily football games in the biggest bestest league in the whole universe end up getting called off.

All part of the authorities trying to turn people against the strikers, who are ordinary working people sick of getting shat on by the establishment and authorities themselves I’d imagine. The media is full of made up shit and half-truths about the strikes.

Just realised, my sister's coming down from Edinburgh that weekend to run the London Marathon (which is in October for some reason). Surely they wouldn't close down the train network then. Must be going for maximum carnage as they were forced to posptone this weekend.

Have already bought my ticket for City away on 8th but i'm not going to be able to make that if there's a train strike, f*cking annoying but i'm not going to be a scab so i'll have to sell it on.

Just cancel the entire season, City are only going to walk it anyway. Boring.

As for people getting refunds for travel and accommodation, the cancellation decisions will be made by people earning 6 figures at least a year. If you're down a couple hundred quid over a game being cancelled, well they'll be failing to see the problem. A minor inconvenience at most.

It's sad, but clubs also don't give 2 shits about match going fans anymore anyway. Least not in the Premier League. The money is in TV rights and sponsorships.

Maybe in the future they'll fill the ground with lifelike robots to maintain atmosphere. At least they could be programmed easier to cheer or boo at whatever they are meant to.

This news probably means more disruption for London games that weekend.

Ahh good, we have Tottenham away.

That'll be the 5000th game we've had postponed this season then.

They better not cancel all of the games that day because some sausage fingered parasite is getting a fancy hat, because we've got Forest away that day and it was the one away day I wanted to do more than any other this season as i've not been in a while.

Typical that they'd pick a Saturday for it. Bet we don't even get a bank holiday.
