Well done Ronnie, fully deserved he really is the greatest, Judd put up a decent fight today but he was just left with too much to do.
Classy interview after a classy performance from the great man, I hope he goes on and on for sometime yet
Who would have thought two years ago that he'd eventually catch up to Hendry? That comeback from 14-16 against Selby in 2020 becomes more immense with each passing day. Triple seven at Triple Crown events. GOAT beyond any doubt now.
An absolute beast of a player well done Ronnie, never overly been a fan of Trump but grown on me last 12 months or so, saw him in World Pool comp and thought he was excellent.
Imagine if Hendry never got the Yips. He could have won a few more, and by the looks of it Ronnie is going to go on until he is 60. Fully expect him to get at least 1 more, but wouldn't rule out him getting to 10.
Hendry should've won more. His era wasn't anywhere near as difficult as the one Ronnie has played in. Even Davis agreed with that.
Proper mad that Davies won all his World Titles in 80s, and Hendry won all his in the 90s. Especially given how long they both played and were still successful.
Maybe Hendry feels some regret seeing how the next generation is still competing well. This semifinal had Trump and the trio of mid 70s guys. Given how he blocked Jimmy White from ever winning the WC though I don't feel sorry for him one bit.
Hendry was finished as a top player by the mid-00's though so I don't think there will be too many regrets. Ronnie is just a freak of nature how he's continuing onto an exceptional level
That's what I mean. Such a surprise Davies and Hendry given there dominance over each decade couldn't manage one last hurrah. I suppose Davies did winning the 97 UK Championship but neither could pull out a World Championship. Williams basically went missing for about 5 years, made a mini comeback them disappeared again, before rising back to the top. Davies and Hendry never managed to climb the mountain again.
