Each to their own - the only downside I personally experience as a PC-only gamer is either missing out on exclusives that I'd like to play (though you can get around that) or having to wait a while for ports to become available.
Console only titles like Last of Us. Ports are versions of games made for specific systems - Red Dead Redemption 2 was out for consoles for a year before the PC port was released.
Ah I get you. I guess it's because it'll be more popular on a console than PC. Like FM Manager. That would always be a PC platform and the likes of Command and Conquer.
Yeah, certain types of games definitely suit different systems. People often look at me like I'm an alien when I say that I play FIFA on PC - in reality it's not much different as I have a wireless Xbox controller that works with my PC.
Actually playing FIFA on PC shouldn't be so Alien. FIFA 98 on PC in my opinion opened the door to the next generation of gaming for Football games. The gameplay on that was awesome.
It's not going to be worth getting it straight away anyway. I might wait a year or so after its release.
I am excited for it but need to see what kind of prices they will be charging here. Thankfully I should have my 100,000 yen in Abebucks soon so I am basically getting a free PS5 from the Government because of the virus.
Absolutely. I've done that for the PS2, PS3 and PS4. Waiting until a revision is on the market. In over 20 years of Playstation I've never bought a console when it is fresh on the market. The only reason I could rethink this for the PS5 is the now announced Remake (not Remaster) of the PS3 Classic "Demon's Souls" the mother of all Souls games and the founder of an own genre, the Soulslike games. The Original is from 2009 and I had expected a Remake already for PS4 but it didn't happen. edit: Here's the original PS3 Trailer from 2009 btw: The design of the PS5 is a bit shit, though. My PS4pro looks better
I'm not too fussy about the price but it's what games will be available down the line. PS4 was a bit of a let down in my opinion for certain things. Never thought of that
No, but I am likely to go Playstatio than Xbox this time, unless Xbox get some decent exclusives. However, a PC is looking more likely for me atm.
I have always had a playstation. I did get an Xbox 360 when they came out as well to see what they were like but i think because i am so used to playstation i just couldn't get on with it.
