According to the Italian Media, Fulham have agreed a fee of around £3.5m with Roma to sign their Dutch International goalkeeper Maartern Stekelenburg. Stekelenburg famously flew to London on the last day of the January window, only to have to return on the same plane when Roma pulled out of the deal as they'd failed to sign a replacement. There were reports that a deal was still in place with Roma for him to join in the summer and it appears Fulham are wasting no time in getting him signed up. With Mark Schwarzer being 40 years old, his days at Fulham are numbered. The fact we're replacing one 1st class International keeper with another ten years younger is good news.
