1 B team goes down, another comes up in the Segunda Division... Also in the 22-23 Segunda Division Andorra from Andorra is participating for their first ever time. In the La Liga, Girona i.e. Man City's 2nd feeder club after Troyes got promoted to La Liga along with Real Valladoid (a ton of history) and Almeira (what?)
In a lot of debt but seen able to manage their way out of it or certainly be creative in how they cope with the debts . https://frontofficesports.com/barcelona-strikes-deals-to-narrow-debt/
They're mortgaging their future is the best description I've heard for what they're doing. They're selling off future revenue to cover current debt. Very short term thinking which might be passable as sensible if they weren't bringing in so many players.
Prediction, I suppose 1. Real Madrid 2. Barcelona 3. Atletico Madrid 4. Villarreal 5. Real Sociedad 6. Athletic Bilbao 7. Celta Vigo 8. Real Betis 9. Sevilla 10. Valencia 11. Getafe 12. Rayo Vallecano 13. Osasuna 14. Cadiz 15. Elche 16. Espanyol 17. Mallorca 18. Almeira 19. Valladoid 20. Manchester City B... I mean Girona
So Lewa at Barça. Xavi supposedly in talks with him since February so he must have a plan for him. Haven't a seen a raw #9 succeed at the Nou Camp since Kluivert in the late 90s so wonder how this will go. Xavi is building something decent though so not to be underestimated. Ancelotti also said that he's happy with Camavinga & Rüdiger so this could actually be a tight title race for once.
ITV will be showing 10 Live LaLiga matches this season starting on Sunday 21st August at 8.30pm when Real Sociedad play Barcelona , good stuff & part of a 3 year deal .
Fati came on & changed the game within 5 mins . I got bored with the play acting , it's like watching 22 Bruno Fernandes's rolling around like they've been shot , that's the problem with Spanish & Portuguese football , way too dishonest or maybe just their culture .
I thought Real Sociedad looked capable of annoying Barca, then Ansu Fati came on and the game was over. Impressive inspiration he provided with his dazzling skill. Good to see Lewandowski scoring for Barca, well done Lewy! I think Xavi is on the right track, but don't comprehend trying to get rid of a player as capable as Frenkie de Jong.
Is that the same Frenkie de Jong that gave the ball away on the edge of his penalty area for the pass to Isak for the Sociedad goal & the one that ambled back every time when Barca lost the ball ? I was more impressed in the 70 mins that Sociedad's number 21 was on the pitch but as you say , Fati was class , looks different , taller & more muscular & still only 19 .
Can't really blame him for one bad game, can you? You could pick out a game in which Messi / Ronaldo did badly. Not sure how seriously you'd be taken then. I especially wouldn't blame Frenkie for one bad game considering the club's apparent disrespect towards him, as he claimed. Or perhaps I'm missing the bigger picture, which maybe so, as I often watched Barca last season, but less than a quarter of all their games. Are you saying Frenkie played badly several times in recent years?
