Yeah agreed that it’s a good deal for the both of us to be fair, we get a desperately needed centre half with a potentially quite high ceiling and a fresh start, you get a decent fee for a guy who l is a bit surplus. Win win imo. Would ideally like another centre half, a winger (or two if Solomon is injured for ages which he may well be), a bit more depth in midfield and a backup to Mitro. Realistically though, our window has been a success so far, and not reliant on loans to be so, which is refreshing

I think that’s sensible tbh, he hasn’t really been given the games to develop at ours and we obviously weren’t going to get any sort of fee for him. So a good deal for all parties concerned.
Marco Silva seems to be able to coach players to become better players so if he sees potential in Issa Diop then I'm happy with the signing even though he wasnt a player I wanted.

so it looks like we are signing Alex Smithies to be our number 3 keeper allowing Jakub Stolarczyk to go out on loan, club rate him every bit as highly as they did Iversen at the same stage so good to see him get the same opportunities
