Do you reckon Rooney will be in charge next season ?

Someone like Ainsworth who promotes a hard working ethos would suit you guys despite the crap behind the scenes .

You're not a million miles away. The club borrowed money against our TV revenue in order to buy the ground back from the previous owner.

I wouldn't call us well run but we should be self sufficient with a couple of sales and relegation contract clauses. The summer will be very interesting.

Rotherham are absolutely useless. Can't rely on them for anything.

It's a shame the sheep stayed up but I think they've just delayed it a season. Their squad and manager are awful and they have no money at all to strengthen it.

I don’t think there’s any maybe about Charlton being a better supported club than Rotherham

Mmmm, I would suggest that we have finished exactly where we should have given our budget which is the second lowest in the league.
Our average wage is only around the £4500 per week so if we are useless it suggests you kinda get what you paid for.
Wycombe have over achieved finishing 3rd bottom.

Whereas some of the other teams need to take a good hard look at what they are paying out and where they finished.

Whats yr thoughts/opinions on L1 playoffs?. Congrats making it today. See a late Oxford surge just missed and Portsmouth bottled it again. Blackpool seemed to come late and hard. Good luck. Thats a tough League to get out of

Yes. One we can’t afford to sack him. Secondly he’s been dealt a really hard hand. Whilst fans and some in the media like to poke fun at him, he’s highly respected as knowledgable about football so I’m willing to give him time but tbh I think considering the current goings off at the club no one would be a success

It gives me no pleasure at all to tell you that Oxford did actually make the play-offs whilst ourselves and Portsmouth missed out.

Why has he been dealt a really hard hand ?

With the squad he's got at his disposal they shouldn't be fighting for their Championship lives on the last day of the season & the same goes for the Wendy's , it reeks of poor man management to me though it only takes a few bad eggs in the dressing room to f*ck a season up !

We’ve got one striker in Kazim Richards. Gregory started to play well but then got injured. Bierlik - with his stats in the team we were averaging play off form and lifted us about 8 points above the relegation zone - then got ACL. Lawrence has been injured most of the season and our bench is made up of youngsters. Our defence consists of a loanee (Clarke) and he’s been partnered by Wisdom (a right back), Edmundson (loanee) and Davies (injured from Christmas with Achilles ). We’ve had about 6 first team players at times being academy lads.

he’s also had the whole takeover stuff going off, players not being paid and points deduction hanging over us. It’s a recipe for relegation and whilst he’s chopped and changed too often, he’s done well to keep us up. We genuinely lack solid defenders, flair and a striker.

Right , ok , what happened to Jack Marriott who you signed from us who was sh*t hot under Frank Lampard & he went on loan to Wednesday & not been heard of since & isn't Martyn Waghorn a striker , that's 3 !

Didn't know of the players not being paid , but from an outsider looking in Rooney is a fancy name & not a manager , I'd f*ck him off , get Ainsworth in , get a hard working mentality & ethos into the club .

I hope Derby keep hold of Wayne Rooney, he's shown nothing that suggests he is a good manager. The defending in that last match at times was sunday league standard.

Derby picked up 1 point in the last 7 matches....

It was an exciting last day! How on earth did Derby stay up!?

Shame for Rotherham & Wycombe, considering their budget, it would have been great to see them stay up. From a perfectly selfish point of view, we would have had a better chance against them next season.

    It’s fine.

We were never really in the running today anyway to be honest so wasn’t expecting anything.
