What is the “long term project” at Brighton though? He’s finished 9th, what more can he realistically achieve? Finish a couple of places higher and then have a short run in Europe for a year? That’s about it realistically and it’s not particularly motivating, even that would be tough.
Feels like he’s basically already achieved the goal of his long-term project at Brighton, ultimately feel like it will just be treading water at Brighton after a season or two more before their fans get frustrated at reaching their glass ceiling. Think he’d be right getting out now.
Not a horrendous shout TBH, but only if your owners pull their finger out this week.
we just can't stand in his way of going to the mighty Brighton ...
He'll get 15 before christmas. Hardly controversial that is it.
Maybe 15 before Halloween
Probably 15 before the International Break...
Probably 15 against Spurs.
At this stage I will be kind of shocked if he doesn't hit 45 this season, bad run of injuries aside.
I do think teams will start doubling up on him more which might slow his scoring rate a tiny bit but it won't slow City as it will just create space for others. I can definitely see him breaking Salah's record though for prem goals (34) and Ronaldo's all competitions record (42) if he stays fit.
Exactly what we did up at their place. Haaland was surrounded with defenders, hardly got on the ball and had just one half chance at goal. Great. Might be the only game he hasn't scored in so far? Unfortunately it meant Foden and De Bruyne could basically do whatever they wanted. Not ideal!
Yeah, it's the only game he's drawn a blank in. You've kept Salah and Haaland off the scoresheet this season
Sure Salah's record is 32 and he scored more than 42 in all comps that season.
Yeah and still got an assist haha
Haaland will score less than 30 league goals. It will be impossible to keep up the standard he's setting at the moment and not to mention his fitness record. He'll realistically play less than 30 league games so 40+ goals would be near impossible imo.
I'll take 28 , Aguero highest was 26.
Haaland is the new Nico Jelavic
Remember him starting in similar fashion (think his was 8 in 8 or something?) which had Everton fans claiming he was better than out, at the time new signing, Luis Suarez
