Barcelona intentionally is aiming for 3rd in their group so they can win the Europa League and get more money. They know they have no chance of winning the Champions League.

I’ll have to check but I’m pretty sure the combined money for winning the Europa League pales in comparison to reaching the last 16 of the CL

It definitely isn’t that much more. CL money isn’t as important as it was 20 years ago, for most clubs in the major leagues it’s only a small part of their revenue these days

Chris Sutton or 'this c*ck' as I prefer to reference

Salah scored the only goal of the game, but Klopp has been slated for his actions towards the officials as a role model in the game, and former Chelsea striker Chris Sutton believes he deserves a ban of potentially up to ten games.

“Klopp has since acknowledged he was in the wrong, which is all he can do. But if we want managers to stop behaving in this way, the onus is on the FA to make sure the punishments are enough of a deterrent,”

10 games ? Has Sutton had brain surgery we don't know about ?

I think qualifying for the CL earns you the most revenue from it.

There's something that you won't see unless you are at the game as the cameras don't pick it up as it happens off the ball.
I've noted that there is a new off the ball foul creeping into strikers repertoire, the likes of Ivan Toney, Callum Wilson, Dominic Solanke all seem to use it, they run onto long balls played up to them from their fullbacks, but while they are running forward at full speed, with the ball still in the air they push the covering defender in the back towards the direction of the incoming ball, which off balances him and he inevitably misses cutting it out and the striker controls the ball and is in on goal or if out wide can get a cross in without getting closed down quickly.
The Linesman doesn't see it because they are normally on the other side of the ground to the incident, the cameras don't pick it out because they are normally following the long ball that has gone from one side of the pitch to the other.
So when you play these teams look out for it and see if it happens.

The coverage of football in the UK is terrible.

For not having to explain how football works like they have to do with the Americans?

Assuming you don’t watch a lot of our coverage.

You’ve obviously not seen Rio constantly performing for the cameras or listened to Robbie Savage, Michael Owen, Steve McManaman etc.

You seem like a pretty impossible person to please on here so assuming you’ll love Jake Humphries too.

I don't watch any analysis other than the small bits they do on MOTD if I watch that live. I don't need to waste time listening to people talk about something I've just watched.
