Somehow i think he's been hired for his negotiating abilities not to pick names out of a hat. I've absolutely no idea what he is like at either.
It can't be true surely? Getting some, on paper, best in class staff and complementing that with a failure of a coach in knock out football
Liverpool coming for our scouting team as well now, more expert hat - name pickers Hopefully we don't lose too many more.
No idea. Dave fallows is our chief scout from man city originally and he is 64 and Barry hunter as well is 55 so who knows
I'd be gutted if Alonso doesn't come to us the end of this season. Either because he shithouses it and goes for the easy street option of Bayern, or he stays at Leverkusen hoping to repeat this season, and maybe with his eyes on the shitshow known as Real Madrid when Ancelotti retires. Either way, it makes no difference and it would ultimately mean his window for ever managing us will be gone and that would be the end of it. And for me at least, I can't think of anyone else out there who interests me. Meh.
Maybe I'm being a little naive/misinformed but Real doesn't strike me as a 'shitshow' at the moment. Barcelona, sure! But I don't get that same vibe from Real. They've renewed the Bernabeau, they've slowly and efficiently refreshed their squad (€110m net spend over the last 7 seasons), they've got in my opinion the most exciting squad of players in Europe to develop and win with over the next 5 years. They are set to dominate
Yeah weird comment. Real Madrid atm is the most attractive club right now given the squad. They are set for the next 10 years in almost every position. When Mbappe is 30, Endrick will be 22
He’s just bitter at the thought Alonso could choose something else. “Window for ever managing us would be gone” - give me a break.
Was referring more to expectation and the ****y fans. The entitlement is f**king ridiculous - the vast majority of managers are on a hiding to nothing from day one. Well, it would be gone. And yes, there would be annoyance and an element of bitterness if he went elsewhere, because I believe he's the best option we have and I'm worried what Klopp leaving will mean. It's not f**king brain surgery. But I don't believe we're the best option for him, that's down to his ambition and what he wants.
Cannot imagine Xabi would be concerned about the volatility of the fans, he will have super fond memories from playing there. I just don't like the idea of him going to Bayern, don't mind where else right now. Bayern just don't seem worth the hassle.
Might be totally irrelevant - Hughes had talks with and tried to get De Zerbi here before Brighton convinced him.
